He reportedly started dating Jennifer Garner in 2018.
They made their first public appearance together in November, when they attended Dear Evan Hansen in Los Angeles.
However, they've kept their relationship very private; their second public outing was not for months—at a restaurant in Santa Monica in February 2019. The two reportedly split on amicable terms in 2020, but reconciled in May 2021, and were spotted in New York City together in August 2021. In November 2021, Garner wore a ring on her left ring finger during an Instagram live—sparking engagement rumors.
Since then, they've reportedly been dating, but still rarely made appearances; the last time they were pictured together was October 2022. In January 2023, Miller was spotted with Ben Affleck, Garner's ex, outside her home. The two were all smiles. A few months later, Miller attended the premiere of Garner's show The Last Thing He Told Me, but did not walk the red carpet with her, and in June 2023 they were spotted kissing on a coffee date in Los Angeles. Miller was born in 1978. For undergrad, he attended the University of Redlands, in Redlands, California, where he studied economics. After, he went on to Stanford for his law degree.
He describes himself as an inventor and entrepreneur.
In his bio on F6S, a platform for startup founders, Miller describes himself as an "inventor and entrepreneur focused on how new technologies will impact the retail and restaurant industries." In 2004, Miller was the second employee at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, a company that develops medicines for genetic-based diseases.
In 2008, he published The Handbook of Nanotechnology: Business, Policy, and Intellectual Property Law with co-authors Ruben Serrato, Jose Miguel Represas-Cardenas, and Griffith Kundahl. The publisher, Wiley, describes The Handbook of Nanotechnology as "the first attempt to fully explore the controversial issues associated with the commercial application of nanotechnology." Miller was also managing editor of Nanotechnology Law & Business.
In 2011, he left Arrowhead and founded Cali Group—which includes CaliBurger, a global restaurant chain. "We really think of ourselves as a technology company that happens to sell cheeseburgers," Miller said in 2017.
Miller was married to violinist Caroline Campbell.
The two married in April 2005, and Miller filed for divorce in June 2011. However, they reconciled in February 2012, filed divorce papers again in October 2014, and finalized their divorce in November 2018. Miller and Campell share two children: Violet and Quest.
