Welcome! If you’ve landed on this webpage, you’ve recently watched a devil make out with a mandrill after he proclaimed he was “a boobs guy” on television, which means you may be entitled to financial compensation, or at least some Netflix-funded therapy.

Sexy Beasts, Netflix’s new dating show who’s trailer went viral on Twitter several weeks back, finally landed on July 21. And since you’re here, you know that it is as deeply disturbing as the internet predicted. Each short episode features a single in an elaborate disguise who, after two rounds of dates with three also elaborately disguised suitors, must select one as their “sexy beast,” sight unseen. They don’t know what their selected partner looks like before they choose, but seeing as the first episode’s subject informs her dates she is a professional model, they know they probably don’t have too much to worry about.

Model or not, watching them kiss in full animal prosthetics is unpleasant, to say the least. So the least we could do is let you know if there was even a point to it all—if the show’s premise worked, and if any of these people are still dating today. Here, explore the Instagram accounts of the cast, and our best bets on whether or not they’re still dating their sexy beast.

Emma the Demon

Emma, a New York-based model, ended up selecting Bennett the Mandrill as her sexy beast after a romantic amusement park date and very strange kiss. There’s no trace of him on her Instagram, and as of February 2021, she was single—stating on her YouTube channel that she is “happily single and not ready to mingle.”

James the Beaver

James, on a dating show about putting personality first, made it clear he’s looking for “ass first, personality second,” so luckily the prosthetics only covered his dates’ faces. He chose Alexis the Leopard in his episode—but she appears to be dating someone else now based on her Instagram.

Kariselle the Panda

Kariselle, professional party girl and Miss New Jersey United States 2020, chose Tyler the Alien as her sexy beast. They haven’t publicly confirmed their relationship, but they have been commenting on one another’s Instagrams affectionately recently, so it’s not entirely out of the question.

Ibrahim the Wolf

Ibrahim the Wolf—who in costume looks like he just walked out of the claymation studio of Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox—chose Gabi the Owl in his episode. In the end, though, Gabi expressed that she got more of a “friend vibe” from Ibrahim, which seems to have stuck. From the looks of her Instagram, she’s currently dating someone else.

Nina the Dolphin

In a prosthetic dolphin head that was no joke, Nina selected Mick the Rhino as her sexy beast. There’s no evidence of their relationship on Instagram as of now, but they do live close to one another in California, so there’s hope for these love-mammals.

Kelechi the Rooster

In perhaps the flabbiest, grossest costume of them all, Kelechi the Rooster selected Martha the Reindeer in the season’s final episode. They follow one another on Instagram, but with her in the U.K. and him studying at South College School of Pharmacy in Knoxville, TN, the odds are largely against them.
