Meet Cardi B's 2019 Grammys Pianist, Chloe Flower, Who Stole the Show

The Internet was obsessed.

At the 2019 Grammys, plenty of legendary musicians took the stage. But many on the Internet were asking the same question: "Who is Cardi B's pianist?" The "Money" rapper performed her hit track decked out in diamonds, but pianist Chloe Flower, who kicked off the performance, struck quite the chord with audience members.

Yes, Cardi B's performance of "Money" was extremely entertaining — what else would we expect from the rapper? But when her Grammys number started, a piano interlude had many viewers watching at home wondering whether it was Cardi B herself, since the camera angle didn't show anyone at the beginning. It was quickly revealed to be another woman at a piano, playing the grand instrument so beautifully that people were demanding to know who she was.

One person tweeted, "Can someone please tell me who Cardi B’s pianist is at the #Grammys? She is rocking the hell out." Another person wrote, "Love Cardi B! Who is the fierce pianist performing with her??" Many also chimed in to say that they thought she stole the show.

Internet sleuths were quick to identify the mystery pianist as Chloe, who is also a composer, writer, and, clearly, professional classical pianist. Chloe has worked with a number of other music icons in addition to Cardi B, including Nas, Timbaland, and Céline Dion. Before the Grammys, Chloe posted to Instagram Stories a video of herself getting her hair done, and she reposted a video from a friend wishing her luck on the big night. She regularly posts Instagram videos of herself playing the piano.

It's unclear how Chloe feels about all the attention from her Grammys performance. But with all the Internet buzz, it's clear that she's one of the breakout stars of the night.
