The Echo Show 15 has a 15.6-inch, 1080p HD display and will cost $249.99. As soon as it’s available for sale, we’ll update this post with more information. In the meantime, we wanted to share all the details on this new device.
The Echo Show line includes a variety of smart displays that can be used to make video calls, display photos, stream videos and music, and manage other smart home apps and widgets. Amazon is pitching the Echo Show 15 as a full-service smart home hub, which can be integrated with other smart home devices such as video doorbells, smart thermostats and internet-connected devices of all kinds.
Amazon has also revamped the design of the Echo Show. Rather than a rectangular display that rests on a countertop or shelf, the new Echo Show 15 is a digital frame designed to be hung on a wall (countertop stands will also be available for purchase). It most closely resembles a mini version of Samsung’s The Frame, an ultra-thin TV designed to act as a hybrid TV and digital art frame.
The Echo Show 15 has a sleek, streamlined design and comes with a host of new features. For instance, a new Visual ID feature will automatically recognize the user’s face so that the display can be customized for that person. For all these reasons, we anticipate that the new Echo Show 15 will be one of the year’s most popular new gadgets and one of the top Christmas gifts of 2021. Customers who already utilize other Amazon devices or smart home tools — Prime Video, Ring doorbell cameras, smart plugs — will get the most use out of the new Echo Show.
Amazon revealed a lot of new services and devices during the September 28 virtual event, but we expect the Echo Show 15 will have the widest appeal.

Plus, Echo Show 15 can adapt to your home environment with full-screen photos or art, so it’s always there when you need it, but fades beautifully into the background when you don’t.”
