Meet Aldo: The world's cutest dental assistant who calms children at the dentist

Going to the dentist can be a stressful experience, especially for children. But a dental practice in Ecuador has the perfect antidote to any anxiety. Patients at the Parque Dental clinic can now have their nerves calmed by the country's first dental assistant dog.

Aldo was certified in the USA as an emotional assistance dog and spends his days working with young children during their dental visits. By offering the kids a friendly greeting and entertaining them with a range of tricks, the puppy promotes a stress-free atmosphere, and his reassuring personality helps build a sense of trust between the patient and the dentist. Once in the dentist’s chair, the children can even have Aldo sit with them, so they can pet him while they're having their treatment. The goal is to create a sense of calmness, comfort, and wellbeing around the dental experience. And for the young visitors to the clinic, Aldo has proven to be the ultimate stress- reliever.
