McDonald's Customer Throws Happy Meal at Employee, Gets a Blender to the Face
A dispute over an order escalated into a full-blown food fight at an Ohio McDonald’s last month.
"I wanted to get some Happy Meals and some cheeseburgers and that was a very unhappy day for me," Britany Price said exclusively to WLWT.
Price’s drive-thru order was wrong, she said, so she went inside the Cincinnati restaurant to correct the mistake as four children waited in her car.
She waited for more than 25 minutes while other customers came and went. The entire incident was captured by surveillance footage—you can watch the exchange (and the ensuing altercation) here.

"I wasn't the only one that got frustrated, you know, watching the video we see a lot of people that see me and her talking, trying to resolve the issue and they're, like, 'I'm not dealing with this,' you know. They just left. They didn't even place their order," she told WLWT.

A frustrated Price eventually started throwing the Happy Meals at an employee behind the counter.
"It's like, you're directly ignoring me, so what choice do I have? I don't have to put up with this. So, I went and got the food, I want my money back and that's kind of where it all goes from there," Price said.
In response to the hurled Happy Meals, the footage appears to show an employee throwing a blender at Price. The blender hit Price directly in the face, knocked her to the ground, and resulted in a shattered cheekbone and broken nose.
"She's the one started this,” the employee, Nashawnda Johnson, said to WLWT. “It would've never went down like that if she would have never threw stuff at me.”
Johnson said she didn’t realize she had thrown the blender until it was too late.
"As me, walking away from the register, going to the back, she just started assaulting me from the back. She threw a chocolate milk and hit me in the head with it as I had my back turned. So I turn around. Here come the apple juice. Hit me in the face. All the Happy Meals and the brown paper bags. She just started going crazy," Johnson said. "So every action has a reaction. So while I'm getting assaulted, I just picked up anything that was right there and just threw it back at her."
For her part, Johnson says she regrets the action that caused Price’s injuries.
"Yeah, I do (regret throwing the blender), because I miss my job. That's what I do," Johnson said.
So does Price regret throwing the Happy Meals in the first place?
"I mean, I definitely don't feel like there would have been a different result. I feel like even if we would have just went verbal back and forth that it still would've escalated to something else,” she said.
Price and her attorney are planning to pursue a civil lawsuit against McDonald's. The restaurant, when asked for comment, confirmed that Johnson is no longer employed at the chain.
