The holidays are on their way, and as much as they are about having fun and eating great food, they're also about being thankful for what you have and giving to those in need. This season, McDonald's is making it that much easier to show your support for a worthy cause by teaming up with one of our favorite celebrity couples to do it.

From now through the end of the year, McDonald’s will give $100 in your name to Ronald McDonald's House Charities. All you have to do is post a photo or video making the RMHC heart symbol (or another type of supportive message) to Instagram, Twitter, TikTok or Facebook using the hashtag #HereForRMHC. This is part of the brand's $100 million commitment to the charity over the next five years.

If you're lost on how to make the symbol, McDonald's provides the following tips:

1. Build the house by forming a diamond with your hands
2. Show us the chimney by pointing your pinky up
3. Put your heart into it by pushing your index fingers down

If you're more of a visual learner, you can see John Legend and Chrissy Teigen demonstrating it in the photo at the top of this article. The power couple is teaming up with McDonald's to spread the word about the initiative.

The couple said in a statement:

Anyone who knows us knows that the most important thing to us is family. When you're able to lean on loved ones, the hard times always get a little easier. We can’t imagine how agonizing it must be when you’re not able to be there with your sick child. We were inspired by McDonald’s longtime commitment to RMHC, and now we want the world to know how we can all take action to support this amazing charity through the #HereForRMHC challenge.

You have until December 31 to post your content in support of the initiative.
