Mayim Bialik and her fans are leaning on each other for support while mourning the death of YouTuber Technoblade.

On June 30, Technoblade’s dad announced in a seven-minute video that the Minecraft gamer had died following a battle with stage 4 cancer. Last summer in August 2021, a then-22-year-old Technoblade, whose real name was Alex, revealed his diagnosis after experiencing severe arm pain and a swollen shoulder. Doctors later discovered Technoblade had a tumor. He started chemotherapy but his health declined over the past year. Hours before he died, he wrote a message to fans who have been following him since he uploaded his first YouTube video in 2013. Technoblade amassed more than 13 million subscribers, including Mayim and her loved ones.

A day after the heartbreaking news broke, The Big Bang Theory actress shared her condolences in a tweet. “My family has followed Technoblade’s journey which he has shared with all of his Minecraft fans over the past years,” she wrote. “Losing him at such a young age is tragic, but he inspired so many with his humor, his wit, and his bringing awareness to a variety of cancer charities. Technoblade, you will be missed.”

Reacting to Mayim’s emotional message, fellow Technoblade fans joined the Jeopardy! cohost in remembering the online personality. “My grandson age 13 followed him. He is saddened by the loss of a young inspirational man. My condolences to family friends and followers,” one person wrote in her comments section. “My daughter cried when she found out 💔 prayers to his family,” another added. “He was so young!!! It’s absolutely heartbreaking 💔,” a different fan said.

While Technoblade never showed his face on-camera, his followers got a glimpse of his life in the final video posted. The clip featured his dad, who didn’t share his own name, as he read Technoblade’s last words.

“If I had another hundred lives, I think I would choose to be Technoblade again every single time because those were the happiest years of my life,” the letter read. “I hope you guys enjoyed my content and that I made some of you laugh. I hope you all go on to live long, prosperous and happy lives because I love you guys. Technoblade out."
