“No, I'm not leaving. I'm staying with Jason [Oppenheim],” Vander confirmed in a recent interview with People magazine. “I'm actually working with a few potential, very good clients with him in L.A. Just focusing on Miami a lot, but I have a couple of pretty interesting clients that I might have to make the trip to L.A. for.”
The same goes for Selling Sunset itself, though Vander may not appear "in the same capacity" in a potential Season four after welcoming her second child in Miami, where she has been spending time during quarantine.
“If I can be involved with season four somehow, I'll be involved with it," Vander told People. "But I just have to take it as it comes, because I don't know even when we're going to film. I don't know what they have in mind, and I haven't talked to production yet.”
“I would have to figure out how to manage it all with two little children," she added.
Rumors of Vander's possible departure swirled after Selling Sunset co-star Christine Quinn suggested that her co-worker was heading for the exit ramp on a recent episode of the PodcastOne show Too Tired To Be Crazy with Violet Benson.
“I heard, supposedly, somebody is leaving the show... Maya?” Benson asked Quinn. "Yeah, I think so," she responded.
“I honestly have no clue why she’d think I was going to leave,” Vander told People in response. “But I’m definitely not leaving the old group.”
However, any true fan will recall the moment when Quinn asked Vander if she would ever consider leaving the group at the top of the Season three episode "Everybody Loves Mary." Fans never saw Vander's answer, because the camera cut away.
