We're just days away from the season five premiere of Riverdale, so if you're a fan of the Archie-verse, you're already probably buzzing. Well, get ready, because I have some information that's going to send you into a tailspin.

In a recent interview with Deadline, the Chairman and CEO of The CW, Mark Pedowitz, revealed that he has talked to Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa about another spin-off for the show.

As of now, Pedowitz said he hasn't seen a script, but he did imply that any new show would possibly look at the future of Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge and Jughead Jones. "I do know that [Aguirre-Sacasa's] thinking long term on how to continue the Riverdale situation," Pedowitz said.

This comes as we are about to embark on a seven-year time jump with the characters of Riverdale, starting in the fourth episode of the season. We already know the future will include a pregnancy for Toni Topaz, a Wall Street husband for Veronica, and an FBI training job for Betty. As for the fates of the rest of the Riverdale High alums, we will have to wait and see.

Riverdale's previous spin-off, Katy Keene, was canceled after just one season. Unlike Katy Keene, though, it seems like any future shows in the Archie-verse will focus on more canon characters that we have come to love in the original series.
