Matty Healy Alludes to Taylor Swift Split Mid-Show—Without Naming Names
Matty Healy and Taylor Swift are finally over (at least according to sources), and while neither of them have officially said anything regarding their breakup, Matty alluded to it during a recent 1975 show.
Speaking to an audience member holding up some positive signs, the controversial singer said "My friend had some very, very beautiful signs that said, 'You are loved.' That was very, very kind of you."
"I'm sure that it's alluding to..." he continued, trailing off. "As you're aware, I'm not very online at the moment and I'm sure people have just been calling me a c*** relentlessly. I’ve not been online, but what I have been with, is with my boys. And honestly, as much as I appreciate that, it's so beautiful, and I thank you. But I don't need it, because I've got them."

TMZ was the first to report the news of Matty and Taylor's breakup on June 5, revealing that “a friend close to the situation” had confirmed that Taylor is single. A People source then noted that “She had fun with him, but it was always casual,” while a source told Entertainment Tonight, “Taylor and Matty broke up. They are both extremely busy and realized they’re not really compatible with each other. Taylor’s friends want what’s best for her and aren’t shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship.”
More recently, a People source added that "They were never boyfriend-girlfriend or exclusive and were always just having fun. There is no drama, and who knows what could happen again. It was a good time and ran its course."
