We’ve never thought of Matthew McConaughey as a street style kind of guy. In our opinion, his fashion sense has three levels: he’s either in a tuxedo, a T-shirt or shirtless. But when the 50-year-old Oscar winner hit the streets of London yesterday, we must admit we had total outfit envy.
Like Reese Witherspoon before him, McConaughey made a case for monochromatic ensembles in a chic green look.
Yep, it appears he basically copied the Morning Show star’s latest London look, which consisted of a green turtleneck and a green blazer. He had the wherewithal to skip the miniskirt and heels portion of her outfit, instead opting for black skinny jeans and dark chocolate brown booties.
We have to give him props for his on-trend teddy-bear pea coat (look at that lining, too). And although we can’t tell if that great fitting turtleneck is cashmere or Merino wool, we can say with assurance that it’s dapper as hell. And the sunglasses? They’re so European chic meets Dazed and Confused.
Embracing his new life as an Instagram style influencer, the Interstellar star paired his OOTD post with a short, quippy caption. “Goin’ green in London,” he wrote. Yep, he’s ready for a fashion collab. Someone get him a Fashion Nova deal STAT, alright (alright, alright)?
McConaughey only launched his official Instagram account in early November, but he’s already got it down. Now, is it weird if we copy his outfit this weekend? That Blue Steel expression he has going on isn’t so bad either.
