Matt Damon Opens Up About Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's Relationship

Ben Affleck's best friend Matt Damon has shared his thoughts on Bennifer 2.0.
The Jason Bourne actor talked about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's renewed relationship last week on an appearance on Desus and Mero. Damon spoke on the media attention surrounding the couple, who recently reunited after being previously engaged in the early 2000s.
"So what's it like having your boy have a relationship that's all over the news? Is that, like, weird?" Desus asked Damon about halfway through the interview.
"Well, yeah, it's weird," Damon admitted, before adding, "I have to say, the press was particularly terrible to them, like, 18 years ago. What's nice is that at least they're being nice this time around."
Damon also shared that his best friend of four decades has still kept in touch during the couple's romantic Mediterranean vacation.
"They're on vacation right now, but he still responded when I hit him up about the Red Sox yesterday. You still have priorities!" he said, as he, Desus, and Mero broke out into laughs.
Affleck and Lopez have also reportedly received support from their ex-spouses. A source told Entertainment Tonight earlier this week that there is no ill will between the couple, Affleck's ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and Lopez's ex-husband, Marc Anthony.
"Jen Garner and Marc Anthony are continuing to be supportive and there doesn't seem to be any ill will across the board," the source told ET. "They all just want what's best for each other and their families."
The source also told ET that the biggest priority for all involved is that their families are ultimately happy. Lopez shares her teenage twins, Max and Emme Muñiz, with Anthony, and Affleck and Garner share two daughters, Violet and Seraphina Affleck, and a son, Samuel Affleck.
As for Lopez and Affleck's kids, the source said, "Their kids just want to see their parents happy and they are what is most important to both of them. J.Lo's kids are so glad to see their mom so in love."
