When is the premiere of The Masked Singer season 7?

The Masked Singer season 7 will premiere on Wednesday, March 9 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. Unlike last year when there were back-to-back episodes, viewers will only be treated to a one hour episode in which host Nick Cannon will introduce some of the new celebrity contestants vying for the gold mask. But knowing Masked Singer fans, this will just keep 'em coming back for more!

With less than two months until the seventh installment kicks off, the popular competition show announced the exciting news on social media. "Lucky #7 is coming! 🍀🎭 Get ready for the Season 7 premiere of #TheMaskedSinger March 9 on @foxtv," the show's official Instagram wrote.

Shortly after, Masked Singer fans got their first look at the new season. A minute-long promo video featured six characters. A brief glance at the upcoming lineup reveals that there will be a frog prince, a firefly, a knight with ram horns, a one-eyed monster, a woodland space creature and a lemur.

According to the clip, the season 7 celebrity contestants will be put into three groups called "The Good, The Bad and The Cuddly," instead of the usual Group A, Group B and Group C. Variety reports that the participants will be competing against each other and won't be limited to their group.
