Us, obsessed with Married at First Sight Australia? Um, you could definitely say so. And even though this pair initially hit it off, we couldn't help wondering, are Claire and Jesse still together?
Well, since the reality dating show that sees singletons being matched up only to meet each other on their wedding day, has already aired in its native Australia, here’s what we know.
What happened on MAFSAU's Claire and Jesse’s honeymoon?
We saw Jesse make a few remarks that hurt Claire's feelings and started to put a wedge between them. And that’s when the rumours about Claire and Adam began to circulate!
Jesse initially thought that he had spotted signs that there was some sort of chemistry between Claire and Adam – and the group thought so too. But the pair denied that anything had happened, leaving Jesse wondering if he was just struggling with jealousy.
Then weeks later, after Claire and Jesse were starting to make headway with their relationship, Claire decided to come clean and admit that she and Adam had shared a kiss.
Cue the drama!
We then saw Jesse confront Adam, with Adam coming clean to his own wife Janelle, who was understandably pretty shocked. She ended up kicking Adam out of their apartment and meeting with Jesse to find out more about what had transpired between Claire and Adam.
Even though Claire shared her remorse with the group and apologised profusely to those in question – especially Jesse – it didn’t exactly look good for Claire and Jesse.
And this is where we get into *spoilers* territory.
Are MAFSAU's Claire and Jesse still together?
Even though both were committed to trying to make things work in the experiment, staying on for Retreat Week and many apologies from Claire, the couple eventually call it quits at the fifth commitment ceremony.
Taking to her Instagram, Claire shared two very telling posts from that evening.
In the first, the caption reads, “I really don't think I can deal with sad Jesse anymore. Might be home time for me. I miss my dog!”
And if that wasn’t enough confirmation, the following post in her feed sees Jesse holding up a ‘leave’ sign.
To this, Claire responds: “Boy bye.”
Jesse has since shared an Instagram post with the caption, “Nefarious thoughts of all the mischief the boys and I will get up to post #MAFS 😈” So, it looks like he has definitely moved on.
