Ciara has just joined the (very, very long) list of 2023 celebrity pregnancies. In case you aren't on social media this summer, let me fill you in: Shawn Johnson East is expecting baby No. 3, Kourtney Kardashian Barker is pregnant, Naomi Osaka and Claire Danes are girl moms now, and the list of pregnant celebs keeps growing, and growing, and growing.
TLDR, there are a *lot* of Hollywood A-listers who are expecting babies (or already welcoming babies) in 2023. Yup, this year is already overflowing with adorable little ones, from Lindsay Lohan's first child with Bader Shammas to Jessie J's rainbow baby. And there are some notable births to take account of: Succession's Sarah Snook had her first baby, Keke Palmer had her son, Leo, on Feb. 27, Blake Lively gave birth to her fourth child, and Hilary Swank delivered twins. Welcome to the world, future nepo babies!
The best part of all of these celebs’ pregnancies are, of course their baby bump and newborn pics. The actors, athletes and singers are showing off their bellies at home, on the beach, and even the red carpet. Case in point: Karlie Kloss and Serena Williams hitting the the Met Gala with their brand new baby bumps, and Rihanna's Super Bowl performance.
With each month, the list continues to grow, so, here is a recap on every celeb who’s due in 2023.
Ciara: Due late 2023/early 2024
Ciara, 37, is the latest and greatest celeb to announce a pregnancy in 2023. The singer is expecting her third child with her husband, football quarterback Russell Wilson. The couple are already parents to Sienna Princess, 6, and Win Harrison, 3, and Ciara has a 9-year-old son, Future Zahir, with her ex-boyfriend Future, per CNN. The new baby will be her fourth child.
The star made her big reveal with an Instagram post showing the silhouette of her baby bump. "You look at me like that again, we make another kid…You my heart I’m your rib 🥰😘❤️," the star captioned her post, referencing the lyrics of her latest single, "How We Roll."
No word quite yet on the sex of the baby, or when exactly Ciara is due. However, given that the singer has announced it, and her baby bump is pretty obvious, I'd expect her to have her baby sometime in late 2023, or early 2024.
Shawn Johnson East: Due late 2023
The former Olympic gymnast and gold medalist and her equally sporty husband, Andrew East, are welcoming their third baby this year, the couple announced on July 12. Shawn and Andrew are already parents to daughter Drew, 3 years old, and Jett, who is 2 years old.
Shawn posted an Instagram at the Olympic stadium in Athens showing off her bump. The couple isn't learning the baby's sex before birth. Nor are they sharing its due date, but based on Shawn's bump, it's likely she's at least four months along, putting her due date some time in December.
The baby already has its own IG account with 15k followers, so you best believe this bundle of joy will be in the spotlight just as much as its older sibs are.
Kourtney Kardashian Barker: Due fall 2023.
Kourtney, for her part, has been waiting a long time for this baby, going through IVF with her hubby, Travis Barker, so the news that she's finally pregnant has everyone (read: me) tearing up. This baby is *very* wanted. Back in 2022, Kourtney explained on The Kardashians that she and Travis were trying an Ayurvedic Panchakarma cleanse to help them get pregnant which involved...avoiding exercise, sex, and caffeine. Oh, and drinking Travis' semen (which is not medically proven).
Well, now these two are welcoming a son into the rapidly-growing Kardashian-Barker fam. Based on her announcement and how much she's showing, she's likely due in October of 2023. Congrats, Kravis!
Serena Williams: Due fall 2023.
The badass, Grand Slam-winning, mother to 5-year-old Olympia hit the Met Gala steps cradling her newly pregnant belly. Serena recently revealed that she's expecting another baby girl, per the Los Angeles Times. I spy a new Serena/Venus duo coming soon. And since the tennis star already knows the sex of the baby, it seems she could be due in August or September of this year.
"Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala," she captioned a photo of herself with her husband, Alexis Ohanian. This photo was probably the most exciting moment of the 2023 Met Gala.
When the tennis great announced her retirement from the sport last summer, she said she was hoping to grow her family. Looks like it's been successful so far! Congratulations, Serena!!
Bonnie Wright: Due late summer/fall 2023
Accio baby booties! Bonnie Wright, a.k.a. Ginny Weasley, is expecting with her new husband, Andrew. She announced the news on Instagram with the sweetest post and pictures of the two parents-to-be cradling her bump.
"So excited to share this beautiful land with them. What a wild and humbling journey pregnancy is, transforming to make space for new life. Andrew and I can’t wait to meet our baby later this year and become parents 🥹🌈," Bonnie wrote.
Bonnie didn't mention a due date, but she has a noticeable baby bump as of her latest Instagram posts, so she's likely due any day now. Looks like Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, and Bonnie will all be raising future Gryffindors together!
Becca Kufrin: Due September 2023
Calling all Bachelor Nation fans! As you may recall, Becca was the winner of season 22 of The Bachelor. After she and Arie Luyendyk Jr. ended their engagement, she went on as the lead of season 14 of The Bachelorette. Fast forward to Bachelor In Paradise, and Becca met her now-fiancé Thomas Jacobs. Ahh third time's a charm!
The couple got engaged in May 2022 after Becca decided to pop the question. That October, Thomas also proposed. Spoiler: they both said yes. Now, just six months after the second proposal, the couple announced they're expecting a baby due this September.
"Party of five coming September 2023. Little Bebe, we can’t wait to meet you, hold you, and watch you grow. We already love you to the moon and back - mom & dad," she wrote in an IG post. This will be their first child together.
The couple also recently announced they are expecting a baby boy, and will name him Tommy, per US Weekly. Becca and Thomas already purchased the cutest jersey onesie repping the San Diego Padres, and taken her baby to the Eras Tour. Congrats to this power couple!
Rihanna: Due fall 2023
Okay, so I probably don't have to tell you this one, but Rihanna is expecting her second child. The 34-year-old billionaire announced her pregnancy mid-performance at the Super Bowl, and it was def the biggest part of the night (sorry to the football fans). She later showed up at the Oscars with the bump on full display.
She hasn't revealed any details about the child's sex, but she's said she doesn't care. "I'm open," she told British Vogue in February 2023. "Girl, boy. Whatever." There's also no word yet on when exactly RiRi is due, but since she announced it's probably going to be sometime in August/September 2023.
Constance Wu: Due mid 2023
The "Fresh Off The Boat" actress is expecting her second child with her boyfriend Ryan Kattner.
Constance's clear baby bump was spotted by paparazzi in February as the actress went for a walk. It's not clear what her due date might be, but she looks like she is probably only has a few more months to go. She later confirmed the pregnancy in an IG Story post which she captioned: "Bun in the oven. Filipinese baby #2 coming soon."
Carey Mulligan: Due late 2023
It's official! Carey Mulligan is expecting her third child with husband Marcus Mumford, her rep confirmed with People in January. The baby will be joining siblings Evelyn Grace, 7, and Wilfred, 5.
Carey recently starred in She Said, a movie following two investigative New York Times reporters who uncovered the Harvey Weinstein abuse scandal. The actress opened up to People about her own postpartum depression after giving birth to Evelyn, which mirrored the experience of her character in the film, reporter Meghan Twohey.
No word yet on her due date or the baby's sex, but by the looks of the red carpet photos, she definitely looks like she's pretty far along. So, stay tuned!
Robin Arzon: Atlas Sage Arzón-Butler, born July 16, 2023
This Peloton instructor gave birth to her second baby on July 16, 2023, People reported. Robin welcomed her son, Atlas Sage Arzón-Butler, with her husband Drew Butler.
Robin, 41, announced her pregnancy during a segment of "Live with Kelly and Ryan" on the Today Show on Jan. 9. The little one will be joining 22-month-old sister Athena, who is already a social media star thanks to her mom's cult following. Atlas is clearly already following suit! He's so adorable.
Karlie Kloss: Elijah June, born July 11, 2023
Serena wasn't the only one to debut a bump at the Met Gala. Karlie Kloss also appeared visibly pregnant at the event. Karlie shares two-year-old Levi, who was born in March of 2021, with husband Joshua Kushner.
"This is the most important night in fashion, of course, and I'm honestly surprised I could keep it a secret this long," Karlie told ET, per People, adding that she's been keeping her pregnancy under wraps by using "big winter coats."
She later told Vogue, "I got a plus one don't shhh... don't tell anybody."
In July, Karlie revealed that she gave birth to her baby boy, Elijah June, on Instagram. Naomi Osaka, who also gave birth to a son this year, commented on Karlie's post. "Congrats mama," she wrote. "Amazing our little ones are all the same year.. and our cancer boys.. Welcome Elijah ❤️❤️❤️."
Lindsay Lohan: Luai, born July 2023.
Alert, alert! Lindsay just had a baby! People confirmed that everyone's fave teen star welcomed a baby boy named Luai, which is a name that means "shield or protector" in Arabic. Baby Luai's exact birth date is not known yet, but it was some time in July.
"Lindsay Lohan and her Financier husband, Bader Shammas, welcomed a beautiful, healthy son named Luai. The family is over the moon in love," the couple's rep told People.
When announcing her pregnancy, the star posted the cutest IG of a little onesie with the words "Coming soon..." written over top. "We are blessed and excited! 🙏🤍👶🍼," she captioned the pic.
Of course, all her famous friends were freaking out over the post. "This is WONDERFUL NEWS!!" Amanda Seyfried commented. "congratulations 😭😭😭," the MTV account added.

Naomi Osaka: Shai, born July, 2023.
In January, 25-year-old tennis pro Naomi Osaka dropped that she was pregnant with her first child. The star athlete casually shared the news via social media. In July, she delivered a baby girl, Shai, with support from her boyfriend, rapper Cordae. A source told People that "they are doing well," referring to Naomi and the baby girl.
"I realize that life is so short and I don't take any moments for granted, everyday is a new blessing and adventure," she wrote in a post on Jan. 11, accompanied by an ultrasound photo. "I know that I have much to look forward to in the future, one thing I'm looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, 'that's my mom,' haha. 2023 will be a year that'll be full of lessons for me.”
I, for one, can’t wait for their v talented baby girl to channel her superstar mom on the tennis courts.
Meghan Trainor: Barry Bruce, born July 1, 2023.
Surprise! Meghan just welcomed baby No. 2 with her husband, Daryl Sabara, per ABC. The singer first announced her pregnancy in late January. And apparently, there will be more little Trainor-Sabara's to come.
"What a blessing," Meghan told People at the time. "I'm just so grateful I can get pregnant. And I'm like, 'I'm crushing it. This is amazing. This is my dreams.' I'm halfway there—I want four kids!"
The new baby, whom the couple named Barry Bruce, was born on July 1 and joins older brother Riley, who turned two in February. Barry's birthday is actually super special to Meghan and Daryl, who went on their first date on July 1.
Meghan gushed about the new baby in an Instagram post. "He was a big boy at 8lbs 7oz...and sideways (transverse), but we had an amazing, successful c-section, and I finally got my skin to skin time! Thank you to all of the incredible doctors and nurses who took such great care of us❤️."
Abby Elliott: William "Billy" Lunney Kennedy IV, born June 13, 2023
SNL alum Abby Elliott announced that she was pregnant back in January, and revealed her baby boy to the world in early June 2023. "Hearts bursting, we love you so much," Abby wrote in her post.
Abby, 35, will be welcomed her son on June 9, 2023 with her husband, Billy Kennedy—the couple already shares one kid, two-year-old Edith Pepper, per PEOPLE.
Claire Danes: Baby girl born June/July 2023.
In early January, a rep for Claire Danes and hubby Hugh Dancy confirmed their pregnancy to People. And the family of four has officially become a party of five after the couple's rep confirmed the birth of a baby girl on July 11, per People. No news yet on the baby's name or actual birth date, but Women's Health will definitely keep you updated.
Claire and Hugh already have two sons, Cyrus Michael Christopher, 10, and Rowan, 4. The couple initially announced the news two days before Claire, 43, hit the Golden Globes red carpet in a gorgeous floor-length floral gown and debuted her little bump.
While walking, she talked about the pregnancy, saying "this one was not intentional,” People reported. But the pair is still happy about the pregnancy: "We're excited, we're thrilled,” she continued. Congrats, Claire!
Da Brat: True Legend, born July 6, 2023.
Yup, the famous rapper just had her first child, a son, with her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart. Upon announcing her pregnancy, the 48-year-old told People in an exclusive interview that kids were never in the cards for her...until she married Judy.
"I felt like, because I didn't get pregnant earlier on, then it just wasn't going to happen for me," she said. Then, "I was like, I want a little me with you. Something special from the both of us that we can share and raise and love unconditionally."
The couple used an anonymous sperm donor, and Da Brat was 18 weeks along at the time of the initial announcement.
Now, True Legend Harris-Dupart has officially joined the fam. His moms posted joint Instagram videos from the birth. "True Legend Harris-Dupart @truelegendhd was born 7/6/23 at 8:30pm coming it at 7k s 8oz, 20inches long and as PERFECT as ever 💖💖💖," Judy wrote. "We are overwhelmed with love, Very appreciative for such a blessing of our bundle of joy. This journey has been more amazing than we could’ve ever imagined."
Jessie J: Sky, born in May, 2023.
Jessie J is yet another star who announced an addition to her little fam. She revealed on Instagram on Jan. 7 that she had a rainbow baby on the way. Ahead of the BRIT awards on Feb. 11, the singer revealed she was having a boy via Instagram.
The video she posted showed her pregnancy journey in the studio and her ultrasound. The “Price Tag” singer, 34, suffered a miscarriage in November 2021, per PEOPLE. “I am so happy and terrified to finally share this…” she wrote. “Please be gentle with me. Honestly, ya girl just wants to ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating a chocolate covered pickle with no questions asked.”
Jessie followed up the adorable montage with another reel full of clips of her struggling through her early days of the pregnancy. “I was warned about that first trimester and it was WOOFY WOOF,” she wrote, with a bunch of emojis.
Finally, she welcomed her new baby boy, Sky, via C-section in May, with partner basketball player Chanan Safir Colman. And it looks like motherhood is already off to a good start for the singer, complete with a visit from mom!
Sarah Snook: Baby?, born May 2023
The 35-year-old actress appears to have just welcomed her first child with her husband, Dave Lawson. In an Instagram post, Sarah is watching the finale episode of Succession, and a little baby head appears in the corner.
“I just watched the final episode of the final season of something that has changed my life. And now, my life has changed again,” she wrote. “Thank you for all the love and support.”
No word on the baby's sex or name, yet!
Sarah and Dave tied the knot in 2021, despite having known each other since 2014, Today reported. And like the badass she is, Sarah eventually proposed to Dave after a very quick COVID-quarantine romance in 2020.
“We’ve been friends since 2014, lived together, travelled together, always excited to see each other, but totally platonic. We’ve just never been single at the same time. I proposed and we got married in February in my backyard," she said.
Lindsay Arnold: June, born May 4, 2023
Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Lindsay Arnold made her big announcement during an exclusive pregnancy reveal with Women’s Health last October, saying she would be expanding her family with her husband Sam Cusick. Their two-year-old daughter Sage was super excited: “She is obsessed with babies,” Lindsay told WH. “She’s so good with them.”
Lindsay gave birth to daughter June via C-section, and shared the news via Instagram the same day.
"Baby girl is here and we are so in love🥹🥹💕💕 mama and baby are healthy and we are soaking up every minute with our little piece of Heaven 💕 thank you for all the love we will share more soon 💕," Lindsay wrote.

Yup, the iconic director quietly welcomed her second son with Noah Baumbach amid the Barbie hysteria. In a July 2023 profile with Elle U.K., the director described her four-month-old baby as "a little Schmoo." Aww.
The couple already has one child together, Harold Ralph Gerwig Baumbach, who is 4, per PEOPLE. She also has a 13-year-old stepson, Rohmer Baumbach, per Elle U.K.
Greta announced she was expecting at the end of 2022 on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, but she's otherwise kept pretty mum about her pregnancy. "I am with child," she said. "I went to an event recently, and I wore something, and I thought everyone would be so interested that I was having another child, and nobody cared."
Gina Rodriguez: Charlie LoCicero, born March 2023
Gina, 39, casually dropped the news of her first pregnancy on her Instagram on July 30, 2022. "This birthday hits different. ❤️" she wrote to caption a Reel of videos of her and her husband, Joe Cicero, including one of her holding up a positive pregnancy test.
In January, the actress posted on Instagram promoting her new show, Not Dead Yet, and said she was "40 plus" weeks pregnant. She also asked for bets on whether the show or her baby would come first.
Finally in March, and Gina took to social media to share a sweet snap of her and her baby boy, Charlie. "My three favs, my baby Charlie, Not dead yet (NEW EPISODE TONIGHT with the great @pellpix ) and getting back to dancing (you are incredible @sashafarber1 🕺🏽💃🏽and yes, I am breastfeeding while ballroom)," she captioned the post.
Kaley Cuoco: Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, born March 30.
Kaley Cuoco, 37, dropped the news of her pregnancy on Instagram on October 11, 2022. “💕Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023💕 beyond blessed and over the moon… I 💓you,” she wrote in the caption, tagging boyfriend Tom Pelphrey.
Matilda was born on March 30, 2023, and is The Flight Attendant actress’s first child. She and Tom are overjoyed, documenting much of their parenting and pregnancy journeys on Instagram, including the fact that Kaley was “horribly sick” during her first trimester, that she slept a lot on set, and had crazy Subway sandwich cravings, per Page Six. Kaley also showed off her bump on the Golden Globes red carpet in a floor-length lavender gown.
Early in her pregnancy, Kayley revealed that she was taking a "no plan" approach to motherhood. "I have no plan and I've read zero books so that's the type of mom I will be," she told Entertainment Tonight. "It's gonna be great, I trust the process. Tom has googled enough for the both of us. He could probably deliver this baby at this point."
Upon their baby's arrival the couple said Matilda is "the new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle 💓," on Instagram after she was born.
Hilary Swank: Boy and Girl, born April 9, 2023.
It’s been a long time coming for Hilary Swank and her husband Philip Schneider, but the actress announced she was finally pregnant! With twins! Hilary told everyone the good news on Good Morning America on October 5, 2022.
"This is something that I've been wanting for a long time, and my next thing is I’m going to be a mom," she said. "And not just of one, but of two. I can't believe it. It's so nice to be able to talk about it and share it."
"It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. 👼🏼👼🏼 Happy Easter! 🐣🐣 Posting from pure Heaven. 🙌🏽," Swank captioned an Instagram photo. The twins' names haven't been released yet, but I, for one, can't wait to hear what they'll be called.
The Million Dollar Baby actress's original due date of April 16 was actually super special to her, too—it’s the birthday of her late father, Stephen Swank, who passed away in October 2021, she revealed on The Drew Barrymore Show, according to Page Six. However, a little over half of twin pregnancies are born before the full gestation period of a normal pregnancy (most twins are delivered around 36 weeks), per Johns Hopkins Medicine. So, it could be earlier for Hilary.
The actress documented plenty of pregnancy content on her IG. She even posted a Fitness Friday post of her working out with her bump! "Me and Da Babes workin' out," she wrote in the post.
Heather Rae El Moussa: Tristan Jay, born January 31, 2023.
Heather Rae El Moussa, 35, gave birth to her baby boy, Tristan Jay El Moussa, on January 31, 2023. His name comes from what was almost her husband Tarek's name, and her father's middle name (which is Jay). She announced his name and birth story over Instagram on February 15.
"So much excitement but also this overwhelming feeling of wanting to protect him and keep him safe," the Selling Sunset star wrote in another post on Instagram. "You always hear how special it is to bring life into this world but you never really know until the moment it happens to you."
This is the Heather and Tarek's first child together, but Heather is also the stepmom to Tarek's children, Taylor, 12, and Brayden, 7, per PEOPLE.
“Tarek is so supportive of all the changes,” she told Women's Health back in October 2022. “He helps me keep myself on balance.” She revealed that working out was a huge factor helping her throughout (hi Pilates and yoga) her pregnancy. It doesn't hurt that she's had a lot of great pregnancy products to help her along her journey! Huge congrats to this adorable fam!
Keke Palmer: Leodis Andrellton Jackson, born Feb. 27, 2023.
Talk about a memorable pregnancy reveal—Keke Palmer delivered her big news while hosting SNL on Dec. 3. "I'm especially glad to be here because there's some rumors going around,” she said. “People have been in my comments saying 'Keke's pregnant, Keke's having a baby,' and I want to set the record straight—I am!"
The Nope actress then ripped open her jacket to reveal her bump. Keke, 29, seems super excited to have her first baby with boyfriend Darius Jackson. Fun fact: the actress recently told her podcast listeners that Darius found out Keke was pregnant before she did.
Then, a month later, Keke let slip that she knew the sex of her baby: A boy. The couple also already had a name, but didn't reveal it until their child is born. "We're not saying the name, but the name for us - it gives American," she said on her podcast. "It gives Black American storyline."
Turns out, his name is Leodis Andrellton Jackson, or "Leo." Keke announced his birth on IG: "Born during Black History Month, with a name to match! LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON, welcome to the world baby Leo," she wrote.

Blake Lively: Baby?, born February 2023.
RiRi wasn't the only mom with some big baby news to drop on Super Bowl Sunday. Blake Lively posted an Instagram post showing off her post-partum body on February 12. Later, Page Six said it had independently confirmed the baby news.
Fans were already wishing Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, plenty of congratulations in the comments. "The baby is here 😍," one fan commented.
It was impossible to not be totally ecstatic for the couple when news dropped that Blake was pregnant with their fourth child a few months back. The actress first revealed her pregnancy at the Forbes Power Women's Summit event on September 15, 2022, when she hit the red carpet in a sparkling minidress, baby bump and all.
The Internet was overjoyed at the thought that Blake and Ryan were adding to their family of five, with their kids James, 7, Inez, 5, and Betty, 3. (Remember to give Taylor Swift’s folklore another listen since she took inspo from her bestie’s kids’ names for her lyrics!).
The sex of the baby still hasn’t been revealed, but Ryan recently told the TODAY Show that he does “know girls, so I'm kind of hoping that, but I'm ready for whatever happens.” A source also told PEOPLE that the couple was "very excited" and that their other children have "adjusted great."
I cannot wait to hear more about this kid, and who knows, maybe Taylor Swift has already given us some hints!
Behati Prinsloo: Baby?, born January 2023.
Behati welcomed her third child with husband Adam Levine in January, per PEOPLE. The model first announced the pregnancy with a casual baby bump reveal on her IG. The couple already have two daughters, Dusty Rose, 6, and Gio Grace, 4. The gender of their third child has not yet been announced.
In November 2021, Behati told Entertainment Tonight that she wants five kids. "You know what, never say never. We want a big family, who knows? We're leaving it up to fate and just what happens. What will happen, will happen. So there's no limits to it," she said.
The 34-year-old has yet to reveal any photos or make a formal announcement of the delivery herself, but given all the amazing baby bump photos she shared–it's likely pics are soon to come!
Chrissy Teigen: Esti Maxine, born January 2023.
Chrissy Teigen, 37, gave birth to her third child with John Legend in January 2023. Esti Maxine Stephens was born around Jan. 19, the day she posted the picture of the new babe to her IG.
"The house is bustling and our family could not be happier 💕 Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c section!? We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes," the model wrote.
Chrissy first announced her pregnancy on Instagram on August 3, 2022, with a touching caption that talked about their tragic pregnancy loss in 2020.
“The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again,” Chrissy wrote. “Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘Ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still. I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful.”
The couple affectionately called this baby their “rainbow” baby in the weeks leading up to Chrissy's due date, and she posted on IG back in February 2022 that she was doing IVF (in-vitro fertilization). Chrissy and John are overjoyed to welcome their third child, and that Luna, 6, and Miles, 4, now have a younger sibling. Congrats!
