The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are so down-to-earth, they share their momentous family occasions on social media! And while the christening of their baby Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge took place on Sunday at the Sandringham Estate, in Norfolk, England, the royal family took to Twitter on Thursday — via Kensington Palace’s handle — to share four images from the historic occasion.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their whole family had a wonderful day on Sunday and were delighted to share the special occasion with the thousands of people who came to Sandringham,” a Kensington Palace spokesperson said. “They are very happy to share these photographs and hope that everyone enjoys them as much as they do.”

Famed fashion photographer Mario Testino — who’s shot many Vogue covers, towel-swathed celebs, and even princes William and Harry with their father, the Prince of Wales — was the lucky lensman tasked with capturing the important day. "Photographing Princess Charlotte’s christening was an amazing experience,“ Testino said in a statement. "What impressed me the most was the energy of the family, and of that between the Duke and Duchess. One sees how solid they are together and one gets a sense of their strong family values.” He continued, “It was incredible to be able to document four generations of the British Royal Family together — the monarch and three heirs to the throne — and very heartwarming to see the close relationship between them all.” He added, “I am overwhelmed and honored to be chosen to document this occasion and to carry on the documentation of the family that is the soul of this country, a country that has given me so much.”

The group shot (above) captures the royal family and the Middleton family in their best formal wear. The men look dapper in suits, while the women are coordinated in pastel ensembles and hats. The duchess, wearing a cream Alexander McQueen coatdress, held Princess Charlotte, who was in the same christening gown that her older brother wore for his baptism in 2013. Seated to the right of Kate, Queen Elizabeth II was outfitted in a pink Angela Kelly ensemble, and to her left, Prince George sported a red and cream set by Rachel Riley and too-cute-for-words T-strap loafers. Pippa Middleton followed her sister’s sartorial choice in a cream Emilia Wickstead dress. Other images (below) include a precious mother-daughter moment, a similarly adorable father-son moment, and another of the family together.
