Margot Robbie Glitters Like an Olympian for I, Tonya ’s London Premiere
Margot Robbie might have channeled her inner boss at Calvin Klein’s Fall show in a New York wearing a tailored, menswear-inspired coatdress, but earlier tonight in London, it was all about figure skating sparkle. The I, Tonya star stepped out in a custom Louis Vuitton piece featuring silver, blue, white, and black embellishments fit for an ice skating queen. This latest look comes on the heels of Robbie’s red carpet tour for the film which has seen her sport modern separates from Prada, girlish dresses from Chanel, and slinky pieces by Versace. Distinguished from the rest, Robbie’s Vuitton dress drew a connection to her on-screen persona through it’s generous use of sequins and subtle, yet direct geometric motifs.
Robbie’s minimalist approach (crafted with stylist Kate Young) was on display tonight despite the Dynasty-level sparkle and sex appeal. A demure slit hinted at skin while simple, heeled sandals grounded the look with sophisticated polish.
