Mandy Moore just shared an intimate look inside the first day she spent with her son.

The This Is Us actress, who shares two sons with her husband Taylor Goldsmith, took to Instagram on Friday to share a series of photos of her in the hospital with her newborn Ozzie. The photos included a pic of Ozzie shortly after his birth on October 21, 2022. Other photos include Goldsmith cradling the little one, as well as a pic of Moore, Goldsmith and Ozzie with their doctors and nurses.

The Princess Diaries star captioned the photos, “One month with our Ozzie. I’m still able to access everything about that moment, which simultaneously feels like one second ago and also unimaginable to fathom life before. Thank you, Dr. Waldman, our rockstar L&D nurse, Athena, and our doula (and photographer) @rebeccacoursey_photosandfilm for holding space and allowing for such a transcendent birth experience.”

Moore, who is a singer as well as an actress and often incorporates music into her screen performances, added, “Baby boy came into this world to the soundtrack of Willie Nelson’s ‘Stardust’. Good choice, sir!”

Moore’s followers loved the special photos. Actress Teresa Palmer wrote, “Oh mama!!! That photo second photo is everything. The joy!! So so happy for you!!!!”

Singer Pink added, “To be this happy for a person you kind of grew up alongside in this crazy business but honestly barely know- I’m still gonna say it. I am so freaking happy for you and I know with my whole heart that you deserve all of this. Congrats to you lot.”

This Is Us co-star Sterling K. Brown, who played her son on the recently ended NBC series, gushed, “All of this is just beautiful!”

Moore has opened up previously about a health condition that makes it necessary for her to have an unmedicated birth. She was diagnosed with immune thrombocytopenic purpura, which made her platelets “too low” to receive an epidural, before giving birth to her first son Gus in February 2021.

“It was awful,” she told TODAY Parents of giving birth Gus without pain medication. “But I can do it one more time. I can climb that mountain again. I wish medication was an option — just the idea of it being on the table is so nice. But we’ll just push forth like we did last time.”

The “Candy” songstress has also gotten candid with her social media followers in recent weeks about the struggles and triumphs of motherhood. In a recent Instagram post, she spoke about dealing with mastitis while attempting to breastfeed, writing, “Turns out mastitis is brutal but antibiotics turned my world around in 24 hours.”
