Mandy Moore married musician Taylor Goldsmith in a private wedding ceremony in Los Angeles on November 18, 2018. The couple tied the knot in an "intimate backyard wedding at Mandy's home," a source told E! News at the time. Goldsmith had proposed to Moore in 2017 after two years of dating.

Now, the couple are expecting their first child together. Their child, a baby boy, is set to arrive in 2021, Moore announced in a sweet Instagram post with her spouse cradling her baby bump.

Much like Moore, Goldsmith is a musician. Get to know the star's beau below.

Goldsmith is the lead singer of Dawes.

A fellow musician (don't pretend you weren't a fan of Moore's early work), Goldsmith is the lead vocalist and guitarist in the band Dawes. In 2018, The Observer opined that Dawes' style was evolving from folk-rock into "timeless pop-soul." Meanwhile, Rolling Stone described the band's 2018 album, Passwords, as "polarizing" having mixed "laid-back SoCal balladry and Eighties-referencing, synth-driven heartland rock"—it also regularly references Goldsmith's relationship with Moore. The group is releasing another album, Good Luck with Whatever, in October.

According to Entertainment Weekly, in 2013, Dawes went on tour with Bob Dylan, which brought their music to an even wider audience. Goldsmith is in the band with his younger brother, Griffin, who plays the drums, with Wylie Gelber on bass, and Lee Pardini playing keyboards.

Moore and Goldsmith met on Instagram.

Back in May 2015, Moore posted a photo of the band's album, All Your Favorite Bands, on Instagram. She wrote, "Real excited about this one. Have a feeling it's going to be the soundtrack of my summer. #Dawes #rightontime."

At the start of 2015, Moore's first husband, musician Ryan Adams, had filed for divorce following a reportedly amicable split.

In an interview with People in October 2017, Moore spoke about her unexpected online connection with Goldsmith, revealing, "I took a picture of their album and posted it on Instagram. Somehow, Taylor saw it and sent a note to me. We started emailing back and forth, then we went on a date and the rest is history. Thanks Instagram, for helping me meet my fiancé!"

Moore also explained that their relationship grew on FaceTime, telling People, "We spent hours FaceTiming each other. We fell in love before we’d even really held hands or kissed or anything. It was great."

Moore appeared to confirm her relationship with Goldsmith on Instagram, too, in July 2015 when she posted a photo of her new beau playing Scrabble.

Goldsmith appeared on Parenthood & co-wrote Moore's This Is Us song, "Invisible Ink."

Before This Is Us, there was Parenthood, which broke our hearts every goddamn week. And per Entertainment Weekly, Goldsmith appeared on an episode of the show, back when the characters owned a recording studio.

And as for This Is Us, Goldsmith revealed on Instagram that he co-wrote and helped to record Moore's song "Invisible Ink" which features on the show. The musician also used his post as an opportunity to reveal, once again, that Moore is his "favorite human." Swoon.

Moore has nothing but praise for her husband.

Speaking to Glamour in October 2018, Moore revealed, "I was still dealing with the trauma of my divorce when we started dating. Taylor was steadfast in his support." In fact, the This Is Us star had only positive things to say about Goldsmith as she continued, "He makes me melt. I can imagine no better partner."

And as for having been married before, Moore sees it as the path that led her to Goldsmith: "I view the past as a stepping-stone to get me where I am today. I would gladly weather all of that a million times over if it brought me to Taylor again."

In July 2017, Moore wrote of Goldsmith on Instagram, "You know you're with the right person when they don't think twice about waking up at 5:30am on vacation to go tour some slot canyons."

Similarly, Goldsmith has gushed on social media, describing Moore as "my favorite person in the world" on Dawes' official Instagram account, no less:

Moore thinks her hubby is going to be a great dad.

Speaking to Glamour in 2018, Moore said of Goldsmith, "He's going to be the most tremendous father."
