  • The Mandalorian season 2 premiere’s cliff-hanger ending is leaving fans excited for episode 2.

  • Note: There are spoilers below!

Who was at the end of The Mandalorian season 2 premiere? That’s the big question on viewers’ minds after watching the episode titled “Chapter 9,” which dropped October 30. The episode shows the Mandalorian being drawn to the Outer Rim in search of his kind. But it’s the final shot of a mysterious figure overlooking Tatooine as the Mandalorian speeds across the desert that hints at the return of a famous character. This ending has left fans trying to guess what’s coming next.

Now, the episode doesn’t confirm the person’s identity, but all clues point to Boba Fett, the bounty hunter who appeared in the original Star Wars trilogy. The reason this is important is that Boba Fett turned Han Solo over to Jabba the Hutt. Sadly for him, when Luke, Leia, and their friends arrived to rescue Han, Boba was cast into the Sarlacc pit. Fans are thinking that he must have escaped death somehow and is back to resume his role as a villain.

The Mandalorian takes place chronologically after the original Star Wars trilogy and the character named Yoda dies in Return of the Jedi. The series follows a lone bounty hunter who’s hired to retrieve The Child and chooses to go on the run to protect the infant, otherwise known by fans as Baby Yoda.

Season 2 is expected to expand upon the current Star Wars canon, leaving fans with more details surrounding certain storylines. If you don’t want to miss it, make sure to subscribe to Disney+ here.
