Manchester United’s miserable start to the Premier League season continued Monday with a deserved 3-0 home loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
RichardR: The fact is that most Americans are not really knowledgeable on the world outside our borders. I do not know who was polled or the parameters, but I do know that most Americans read an article here or there or more likely hear something on the TV or radio and base their opinions on that information. I understand this because most Americans work and raise a family which does not leave the time necessary to research any situation the way that it should be. Countries like NK and Iran legitimately ask why they should be different than Israel, India, Pakistan, etc. who have nuclear weapons. The people of these countries have a totally different view of their country than we do and feel that the US targeting them with sanctions that kill their economy is unwarranted. We feel differently, but that will not change their feelings. Iran will not attack the US openly. They will use proxies just like we do all over the world for decades. Bin Laden was one we used to fight Russia in Afghanistan and how did that work out for us. We really have to change the way we deal with the rest of the world if we want peace. Most countries know how powerful we are and avoid conflicts with us because of our power, not necessarily because they think we are right.
