Dietary preferences can be a huge and emotional thing for people, especially if they follow a diet like veganism. Many vegans are also passionate about animal rights and aren’t exactly thrilled when people eat meat in front of them.

But apparently, this one man didn't give a damn and totally dove into a bucket of KFC in front of a group of vegan protesters. Now, he’s gone viral for it. The man, who hasn’t been publicly ID'd, stood and ate a box of KFC while watching blindfolded vegan activists protest animal cruelty in Sydney.

The protest was held outside of Sydney’s Town Hall by members of the vegan activist group Cube of Truth, per The New York Post. As part of the protest, two members of the group wore black T-shirts and stood blindfolded in front of a TV that showed intense images of animals being killed.

But back to that KFC-loving guy: A video of the protest was posted on TikTok. In the video, you can see the protestors calmly doing their thing. The camera pans several feet to the side, and you can see a guy in shorts, juggling a massive box of KFC and a water bottle, seriously digging into his chicken while he watches the whole thing. “Meat eating protest in #sydney gets a hungry visitor,” the caption reads.

People LOVED the video, which has earned nearly 262,000 likes and 2,400 comments on TikTok.

While the man is being hailed as a hero to carnivores everywhere, it’s kind of hard to tell if he's actually trolling the protestors or if he just happened to stumble across the scene while enjoying his KFC. He doesn’t seem like he’s trying to draw attention to himself—he just really, really wants some chicken.
