Planet Fitness prides itself on being a “Judgment-Free Zone” — but there are limits.

As USA Today reports, police were called to the fitness chain’s Plaistow, N.H., location on June 22 after a man entered the gym, disrobed, and proceeded to bust out some provocative yoga stretches.

“The story we got from witnesses was that the guy walked in, striρρed down right there in front, left the clothes and belongings at the front desk, walked back and forth across the gym a couple of times, and then settled in over at the yoga mats,” Capt. Brett Morgan of the Plaistow police department told the New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper.

Morgan added that the man — identified as 34-year-old Eric M. Stagno of Haverhill, Mass. — gave fellow gym-goers an eyeful as he tried to get buff while in the buff. Witnesses told officers that they felt “unsafe” and “disgusted.”

Stagno was arrested and evaluated by paramedics, who found no need for treatment. When questioned about his behavior, Stagno — who has since been released after posting $1,000 bail, with a misdemeanor arraignment hearing scheduled for Sept. 21 — cited a phrase Planet Fitness members know all too well.

“The only comment he made was that he thought it was a judgment-free zone, apparently referencing [the gym’s] slogan,” Morgan told the Union Leader.
