The makers of Theragun just launched a line of CBD products for soothing sore muscles

The makers of Theragun, a percussive therapy device popularized by athletes, is getting into the CBD business with their new line of products called TheraOne.
Theragun officially changed its name to Therabody in May 2020, keeping Theragun as the name of its flagship product, but hinting at plans to expand its product categories. Its first new product line in the lifestyle space is TheraOne, which is made up of five products containing CBD for soothing sore muscles and aiding in workout recovery.
“I was looking for quality CBD products I’d be comfortable giving to my patients and my family. When we found that nothing on the market measured up to that standard, we spent more than 18 months researching and working with the best scientists and chemists in the business to develop products we could stand behind,” said Dr. Jason Wersland, founder of the original Theragun and the Therabody brand, in a press release.
TheraOne CBD products are all USDA-certified organic, grown in the United States (specifically Colorado), made with therapeutic hemp (rather than industrial) and are made with full-spectrum CBD. Each product has a Certificate of Analysis from a laboratory registered with the Drug Enforcement Administration that proves it’s safe, effective and potent.
TheraOne products are made with full-spectrum CBD and “Biosorb Technology”
There are three different types of CBD: full-spectrum, broad-spectrum and isolate. The latter two contain zero amounts of THC, while full-spectrum contains trace amounts.
“Full-spectrum is a way of describing CBD extract that contains all components of the hemp plant. This includes terpenes (essential for activating other ingredients), no more than 0.3 percent THC, B vitamins, amino acids, omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, potassium, and other cannabinoids. Isolates and broad-spectrum CBD are believed to be less effective than full-spectrum CBD, which ensures that TheraOne customers are truly getting all the good stuff,” Therabody printed on its website.
TheraOne also flaunts something it invented called “Biosorb Technology,” which it says is a method for how the CBD is prepared. The brand claims the preparation method helps your body to better absorb the CBD in the products, though it’s not exactly clear how this is done.
These products actually work
I’ve tried CBD products before, including oils, balms and lotions. After testing the TheraOne line, however, I can attest to their potency and efficiency—which isn’t always the case with other CBD products.
However, one standout product from the line for me personally is the Sleep CBD Tincture (aka oil) made with all organic ingredients, including full spectrum CBD oil, valerian root, lemon balm oil, chamomile oil, lavender oil and MCT oil. In a 1-fluid ounce container, there’s 1000 mg of full spectrum CBD. The suggested dose is one full dropper, which contains about 30 mg of CBD.

As a natural night owl, I’ve always had a hard time sleeping. In the past, I’ve tried using melatonin supplements, drinking tea, reading, meditation apps, military sleep hacks and other CBD products. Activate CBD Lotion is the first step in preventing pain before a workout. It’s a warming CBD lotion that warms and soothes the body, as well as nourishes skin and eases stiffness. You can use it on its own, in addition to a quick stretch session or with your Theragun for warming up pre-workout.
2. Recover CBD Lotion, $55
CBD concentration: 300 mg CBD (2 fluid ounces)
Recover CBD Lotion is a cooling product for post-workout or for helping your body to relax and unwind at the end of the day. It uses CBD combined with essential oils, as well as menthol and eucalyptus oils to cool, relax and nourish skin.
3. Revive CBD Body Balm, $65 and $75
CBD concentration: Jar, 500 mg CBD (1 fluid ounces) // Stick, 835 mg CBD (1.67 fluid ounces)
Revive CBD Body Balm is made for those problem areas that always seem to ache. It’s great for muscle strains or using even after a long day of wearing heels, for your neck pain from looking at a computer or back pain from playing with the kids.
Revive CBD Body Balm comes in two forms: a stick form or in a jar. The stick is the more expensive version ($75) as it holds a little more product, but it’s also easier for smoothing onto your skin, especially larger areas. The jar costs $10 less and is great for smaller areas. However, it really comes down to preference.
4. Soothe CBD Massage Oil, $65
CBD concentration: 500 mg CBD (4 fluid ounces)
The Soothe CBD Massage Oil is another option for soothing sore muscles and getting into a full state of relaxation. It’s product description says that it “melts away pressure and tension.” Massage it into your muscles and reapply as needed.
The Theragun is recognized as a natural solution to solving pain issues, and the brand’s TheraOne CBD line is the next best step for helping muscles recover so you can function at your best.
