MAFS Australia viewers are questioning Alyssa's behaviour in latest episode

Last night's episode (11th April) of Married At First Sight Australia has left many fans confused and asking the same question about Alyssa's behaviour towards husband Duncan.

During the episode the whole group upped sticks and headed for a romantic couples retreat in the countryside for some much needed rest and relaxation. Except it wasn't exactly the smoothest of sailing for all the couples.

In particular, Duncan and Alyssa ran into some difficulty when Duncan opted to spend the majority of the first day at the retreat, hanging with the boys and playing tennis.

Whilst the pair were getting ready for their separate evenings with the boy and girls, Alyssa expressed how upset she was with Duncan.

She said: "Since we’ve been here, you’ve literally just been with the boys. Like I literally haven’t spoken to you or nothing, all day." She added that she wanted attention from him and wanted him to be checking in on her throughout the day.

Duncan appeared apologetic and said he thought Alyssa wanted to spend more time with the girls during the retreat, saying: "I thought you wanted to spend more time with the girls. If I read that wrong you know that’s on me. I’m sorry if you feel like that."

Alyssa didn't react well to Duncan's comments and said she felt it should be on him to come and check on her. Duncan spoke to camera saying he wanted to make the relationship work and how much he liked Alyssa.

The pair didn't end the conversation well, and appeared to leave on a bad note before heading to their separate events.

Later in the episode Alyssa shared with the girls her conversation with Duncan, giving what appeared to be a slightly different retelling of the conversation than viewers saw earlier. It's worth pointing out things may have been cut out or edited.

She told the girls Duncan said: "He said 'I heard you're upset with me'. And I was like ‘what did you hear?’. He was like ‘why don’t you tell me yourself so I don’t have to guess’."

The other girls were shocked and questioned why Duncan reacted this way. Alyssa went onto add that Duncan had said: "I'm sorry you feel that way," which the other girls took badly and accused Duncan of being "combative".

However, viewers of the show who had previously seen the moment, were confused over Alyssa's retelling of the story, in particular how she portrayed Duncan during the argument.

One person tweeted: "Alyssa what the f**k are you on about? Does she understand that it’s recorded, we saw that conversation and that wasn’t the tone that was used #MAFSAU."

Another said: "Alyssa wtf…… no, no, you don’t lie and make s**t up about Duncan. #MAFSAU."

And another said: "Has Alyssa forgotten that there was cameras? Just making random s**t up."

There does seem to be a slight difference in the way Duncan spoke to Alyssa versus how she retold the story.

However, it's worth highlighting that it's Alyssa's perception of the conversation and she's entitled to her feelings if she felt that's how Duncan spoke to her.

Hopefully the pair can makeup before the end of the retreat.
