MAFS Australia viewers are all asking the same question about Alyssa

Married At First Sight Australia doesn't fail to bring the drama every episode, and last night was no different with fans left asking the same question about Alyssa.

The dating series, which sees singletons expertly matched up to partners they meet for the first time on their wedding day, is now in its final weeks (cries!) but that hasn’t stopped arguments between our brides and grooms.

Last night (25th April), emotions ran high between Alyssa and husband Duncan over her childcare responsibilities and confused fans are sharing their thoughts on social media.

In case you missed it, our brides and grooms headed back to their homes across Australia for a last test of their relationships before they say their final vows.

Alyssa headed to Duncan’s apartment in New South Wales and when the time came for the couple to discuss their life after the experiment, tensions brewed as she said she wouldn’t be able to see him that often, as she'll looking after her two-year-old son most days apart from every other weekend and most Wednesdays.

"I’m available every other weekend and every Wednesday because I have a child," she told him while at dinner with her friends, which left Duncan blindsided and MAFS fans confused. Now, viewers are taking to social media to share their thoughts.

"Every other weekend and on a Wednesday? Really? Did Alyssa not think to mention this when she applied for this experiment to get married. And does she expect to get a different response every time she mentions having a child," one viewer wrote. "Sorry why did Alyssa even apply for the show? Every other weekend and a Wednesday? Duncan please leave," shared another.

"Why is Alyssa adamant that her having a son MUST be a concern for Duncan?! And saying she’s only gonna be free on Wednesdays and every 2nd weekend, so she’s gonna keep her husband and son separate" another viewer questioned. "Alyssa lives 18 minutes away but can only see Duncan every Wednesday and every other weekend. I see my neighbours more. He seriously needs to wake up and write leave," wrote another.

In Alyssa’s defence, co-parenting a child is a huge and time-consuming responsibility for many single parents. Alyssa will likely have a set childcare plan that she can't just change because she's in relationship.

Also, she may have wanted to know how serious Duncan was about their relationship before letting him know her availability.

And, as Duncan's sister suggested during the visit, as time goes on Alyssa may be able to be more flexible with her time or incorporate Duncan into the time she has with her son.

We hope they can work through this!
