This MAFS Australia groom just confirmed he's in a new relationship

Contains spoilers

Married At First Sight Australia viewers please prepare yourself for some rather surprising news. This season's Cameron Woods has announced he is in a new relationship following his appearance on the show.

For UK viewers, the full season of MAFS Australia hasn't finished airing yet, but (spoiler alert!) as the full season of the show has aired in Australia, we know now Cameron and Lyndall's relationship unfortunately didn't work out.

The couple made it all the way to the final vow ceremony, however Lyndall decided to end their relationship saying to Cam he didn't know "how to compromise" and she felt like a "burden". In a historic first Lyndall walked off after delivering her speech, without sticking around to hear what Cameron had to say. Ouch.

Since their relationship ended Cameron has moved on and is now in a new relationship, sharing pictures of his new girlfriend on his Instagram profile earlier today (24th April).

Cam shared a number of images of himself and his new girlfriend looking very loved up whilst hanging out together outside.

He captioned the sweet images: "Weekends off are done better with you."

Cam told 9Entertainment he had been dating someone new in Darwin, where he's based for work, and the pair are planning to go travelling for a year together.

Cam added he saw a long term future with this woman and he enjoyed not having to talk about his emotions all the time, saying: "We're sitting happy. It's someone I can be myself [around], I can be normal, I don't have to be someone I'm not. I don't have to talk about feelings every two seconds."

He also said: "It's just good, it's good to have someone who you enjoy being around with. I enjoyed being with Lyndall, don't cut it at that! I do see a long-term future. It's good. I actually feel really happy right now."

As to whether Lyndall knows about his new relationship, Cam said he hadn't told Lyndall but hoped she would be happy for him.

"Lyndall is not aware, no. I kept that one quiet. I think she'd be happy for me, I think she'd be happy. I hope so," he said.

Well we reckon she knows about it now.

Cameron and Lyndall were the first couple to get married in this year's experiment. The couple started off strong, however a few weeks into their marriage a number of problems occurred.

One of the biggest issues the couple seemed to face was their varying levels of affection. Whilst Lyndall wanted lots of affection throughout the day, Cam was less keen. This resulted in uncomfortable conversations and their families getting involved too.

They also faced the rather difficult dilemma of Cam being based in Darwin for his job, often working for up to months at a time in the territory with limited phone signal.

In the most recent Married At First Sight Australia airing in the UK we saw the pair struggle with what the future holds for their relationship, with viewers questioning why Cam entered the experiment if he was going to be working so remotely.

Here's wishing Cam luck with his new relationship and hoping Lyndall is doing ok following the breakup.
