Mad for Chicken, a New York-based concept, has opened in Columbus.

The Korean fried chicken restaurant has opened a ghost kitchen at Columbus Food Hall, 1282 Essex Ave., north of downtown Columbus, until a permanent location is found, according to a news release sent Jan. 28.

"Mad Chicken is best known for its signature soy garlic chicken and unique Korean inspired dishes, such as kimchi fries, in addition to more traditional fare, such as wings, fries, salads and sandwiches, with a Korean-flavored twist," the release said.

As part of a promotional campaign that runs through the end of February, Mad for Chicken is available for free delivery to Columbus residents within a 5-mile radius of the Columbus Food Hall through Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub, the release said.

Pickup is also available at the food hall, the information said.
