Minty Bets is joined by Kevin Iole to preview the UFC bout between Brian Ortega vs. The Korean Zombie Chan Sung Jung on Sat. October 17 from Fight Island.
MINTY BETS: We've got UFC Fight Night taking place this Saturday, October 17th on Fight Island. The main event will be headlined between featherweights Brian Ortega, plus 155, versus Chan Sung Jung, the Korean Zombie, at minus 190.
I'm here with Kevin Iole to give us his favorite bets for this fight. Kevin, what do you think about this one?
KEVIN IOLE: I love this fight, Minty. I really love this. This is one of the fights, really, for more than a year now, we've been anticipating.
Last year, I was in Anaheim, California at UFC 241 and they had a press conference to talk about this fight, and we thought it was going to happen last year. Finally comes around a little more than a year later, and I think this is a fantastic fight.
You know, if I was 100% confident in Brian Ortega's health-- he's been off for almost two years-- I would take him. And he's had multiple surgeries since he lost to Max Holloway, both hands. You know, he had his nose fixed, he had a leg injury. So he's had so much going on, that leads me to say I'm going to pick the Korean Zombie.
You know, the Zombie is a guy who has also been off a lot, but he's proved that he can come back after long periods of time and fight at a high level. I think it's going to be a really frenetic pace. And the fact that Brian, A, is with a new team, and B, hasn't been in the cage for so long, it makes you wonder about timing. And I think if your timing is off at all when you're fighting the Korean Zombie, you're in big trouble.
So I like the Zombie to win this fight. I think he even has a chance to stop him late in the fight. My official prediction is going to be the Zombie by decision, but it would not shock me at all as they get down to the fifth round if the Zombie is able to pull off the finish.
