The Danish model and photographer shares her design favourites and the luxuries she would really rather not forgo...
How would you describe your style?
A little all over the place. I mix patterns and colours, men’s and women’s clothes. I feel best when my outfit doesn’t match.
I prefer vintage and second-hand clothes because you can find unique and peculiar pieces. Right now, I’m about to jump into Copenhagen harbour in a Wolford bodystocking.
Jamaika bodystocking, £125, Wolford
What’s your beauty indulgence?
Definitely strangelove scents, particularly lostinflowers and deadofnight. We worked hard [Helena is creative director] to find magical and unusual combinations.
Your favourite piece of jewellery?
We created a necklace featuring a tiny bottle of our perfume oil with a 24ct-gold flower cap. The fact that you can carry a favourite scent around your neck and smell it all day long is a little luxury.
deadofnight eau de parfum 100ml, £600, strangelove
Which design classics do you treasure?
I love Kaare Klint, the Danish furniture designer. The 1950s were magical when it comes to furniture pieces: PH lamps and Arne Jacobsen chairs are beautiful and functional at the same time.
Which chef would you choose to make your ultimate dinner?
There’s a small Japanese meat restaurant in New York called Takashi. One dish in particular makes my mouth water even now: the raw Kobe beef with sea urchin topping wrapped in seaweed. I mean!
I adore La Colombe d’Or in Saint-Paul-de-Vence. It is situated on a mountain top in a little French medieval village and has an amazing collection of rare paintings by the biggest artists in the world, as they used to stay there for free in exchange for artwork. So you’ll be taking a bath while staring at a Picasso.
Are there any of life’s ‘luxuries’ that are necessities for you?
Water. And I love caviar too.
What single thing would make your existence more luxurious?
A pink marble bathtub full of caviar.
