Lupita Nyong’o is a ‘goddess’ in African print bikini: ‘Mela to the nin’

Lupita Nyong'o's melanin is poppin'.

On Sunday, the 38-year-old actress shared a sun-kissed photo rocking a Maisha bikini by Ohana Swimwear, a Black-owned brand.

"Vitamin D. @ohana.swimwear #blackownedbusiness," Nyong'o captioned the post.

Celebrity friends and fans were enchanted by the stunning photo.

"Goddess," actress Jurnee Smollett commented.

"A goddess aware of her power," a fan wrote.

"Damn you are so gorgeous," someone declared.

"Mela to the nin," one person said.

The Academy Award-winning actress and the first Black ambassadress at Lancôme has been open in the past about how she maintains her amazing skin. In a 2019 interview with The New York Times, she noted that she likes using natural products to protect her skin.

"Sunscreen is the name of the game, but I think it’s also really important to find products that are not poisonous to the world we live in,” Nyong'o said. “I carry calendula ointment, which is a good healer for burns, scrapes, scars. I had a terrible sunburn and the oil cured me of it in just one night. I swear by it. I guess that’s really the one thing I wouldn’t travel without.”

In a 2017 interview with Essence Magazine, she revealed the secret to her youthful looks.

"I feel my mothers have instilled in me that youth doesn’t reside in your skin, it’s in your spirit. So I focus on keeping myself curious and playful. And nurturing my childlike wonder because that’s what keeps you youthful. I try to focus on that, and being good to myself,” Lupita explained. “If you take care of your body, it will take care of you. Time comes for all of us, so I’m not fighting with time.”
