Luka Doncic left Thursday’s Dallas Mavericks practice after rolling his right ankle.

It’s the same ankle he sprained in December that forced him to miss four games.

“Don’t know the status,” head coach Rick Carlisle told reporters. “We obviously hope it’s not serious, but don’t know.”

Doncic to have MRI

The New York Times’ Marc Stein reports that Doncic will undergo an MRI on Friday. The Mavericks’ next scheduled game is Friday night against the Houston Rockets.

Doncic is averaging 28.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 8.7 assists while shooting 46.4 percent from the floor as he makes an All-NBA bid during his second season in the league.
