LSU basketball guard Justice Hill steps away from team for personal reasons
BATON ROUGE - LSU basketball guard Justice Hill has stepped away from the program for personal reasons, an LSU spokesperson confirmed to The Advertiser on Wednesday.
Hill was averaging 6.9 points and 3.5 assists for the Tigers this season, also shooting 30.1% from the floor and 27.3% from 3-point range. With Hill usually starting, LSU guards Cam Hayes and Justice Williams started alongside Adam Miller in the backcourt during LSU's matchup against Auburn on Wednesday.
"In regards to Justice Hill, it's not a disciplinary situation by any means," LSU coach Matt McMahon said. "He... has stepped away from teh program for the time being for personal reasons. I don't have a timeline on that."

Without Hill in the lineup, LSU will have to rely on Hayes, Williams, Miller and Trae Hannibal to play more minutes.
A transfer from Murray State, Hill followed first-year coach Matt McMahon to LSU after spending the past two seasons with the Racers. Hill began his career at Arkansas but never played for the Razorbacks, as he transferred to Salt Lake Community College. From there he joined McMahon at Murray State for the 2020-21 season.
