The Incredible Hulk star Lou Ferrigno has taken a shot at the MCU and modern superheroes in a recent Twitter post. The actor portrayed the famous Marvel character in the iconic television series, which ran from 1977 to 1982.

He also appeared in cameo roles in 2003's Hulk and 2008's The Incredible Hulk as a security guard. But on Twitter and Instagram on June 19, the actor criticized the MCU's use of CGI.

"Can't think of another superhero that isn't in costume or CGI," Ferrigno wrote, alongside a picture of himself as Hulk in the CBS television series.

"Worked damn hard on my diet and exercise for the Hulk. Wasn't going to let anyone down. The hulk was my hero as a kid as well." He also added the hashtags #OGHulk, #HulkSeries and #NoCGIInvolved.

Since Ferrigno's take on the character, Hulk has been portrayed by the likes of Eric Bana and Edward Norton, and is currently portrayed by Mark Ruffalo in the MCU.

While Ferrigno doesn't make any specifications about the MCU in his post, these versions of Hulk were all filmed using CGI and motion capture. Make of that what you will.
