Lori and Mossimo reportedly "didn't see how serious" everything was when they rejected their plea deal...and now they face up to 40 years in prison.
Despite reports that their daughter Olivia Jade is "livid" with them right now, a new source says Lori and Olivia are actually relying on each other.
If you take the happy-go-lucky ambiance of Full House and do a total 180, that's probably the vibe in the Lori Loughlin /Mossimo Giannulli household right about now. The family is implicated in the nationwide college admissions cheating scandal, and to put it mildly, things aren't looking great.
First of all, Lori and Mossimo didn't take a plea deal earlier this week, meaning they could face serious jail time ("serious jail time" being up to 40 years in prison). Plus, their daughter Olivia Jade is reportedly "livid" with them and feels like the "victim" in it all. But a new report pushes the tension even further, because E! News sources say Lori and Mossimo are dealing with the fallout in very different and difficult ways.
"There's a rift between Lori and Mossimo," a source said. "He is completely mortified by this whole thing and she is putting on a happy face and acting like everything will be okay."
That "happy face" has included signing autographs before her court hearing and posing for photos with fans, but that's apparently not soothing tension at home.
"[Lori and Mossimo] are blaming each other and disagreeing on things," the source said. "They are starting to turn on each other and there is incredible stress and tension."
While that is incredibly sad to hear, the silver lining of this new report is that things might not be as bad between Lori and Olivia Jade as we thought, since they're apparently supporting each other through it all.
"[Olivia] feels completely lost. Her and Lori are leaning on each other a lot for full support right now," a source told the outlet.
