- Early reports claim she was allegedly texting and driving.
In alarming news you were probably not expecting to hear today, Lori Harvey was arrested last night following a car accident in Beverly Hills, California.
The Beverly Hills Police Department reports that Lori was involved in a traffic accident that caused her Mercedes SUV to flip over and be suspended onto its side, according to OK! Magazine, who first broke the news.
An eyewitness on the scene claims Lori was texting while she was driving and crashed her car into another vehicle, but those claims are not confirmed as of right now. Thankfully, People reports Lori was not harmed in the accident. Allegedly, the driver that Lori crashed into was kind enough to pull her out of her car, but instead of staying on the scene and waiting for authorities to come, Lori allegedly attempted to flee. She didn’t get very far, though, because the police arrived shortly after.
Lori was not booked, but she was later arrested on two counts: misdemeanor hit-and-run and prolonging or delaying a police investigation. Although Lori was allegedly texting and driving, the authorities do not believe she was intoxicated during the accident. She was later released. “She was arrested for the two charges and released on scene. Not booked. She identified herself properly and signed a written promise to appear in court,” the Beverly Hills Police Department said, according to Daily Mail.
Before the accident, Lori posted snapshots of the beach to her Instagram Story and shared that she was enjoying a meal at Nobu in Malibu with a friend.
