Who is Loren Gray? Meet one of the most-followed influencers on TikTok

18-year-old Loren Gray rose to fame back in 2015, long before many of her fellow TikTok stars. When she was only in middle school, Loren Gray created an account on Musical.ly, which merged into TikTok in 2018. at the time, Gray had no plans to become an influencer. Because of her overnight success on Musical.ly, Gray said that she got bullied in school and, as a result, had to drop out and start homeschooling. She and her mom moved from their hometown of Pottstown, Pa., to Los Angeles in 2015 to focus on Gray’s career full-time. Gray has always been very candid about her past and the reality of her less-than-glamorous life behind the scenes. In 2018, then-16-year-old Gray signed with Capitol Records and released her debut single, “My Story.” She’s come out with several hits since then. Up until March 2020, Gray actually was the most-followed individual on TikTok. However, since then, three people have surpassed her: Charli D’Amelio, Addison Rae and Zach King. In August 2020, Forbes estimated that Gray earned $2.6 million from June 2019 through June 2020, making her the fourth highest-paid person on TikTok. Cha-ching!
