LEXINGTON, Ky. — Growing up, Will Levis always had the television tuned to sports channels. Now the former Kentucky quarterback can watch himself, along with the NFL draft's other top quarterback prospects, being dissected and debated on those same stations.

"It's just insane," Levis said Thursday. "And same for my family members, too. I always have friends and family sending me pictures whenever my name like pops up on TV. Like, 'Why is my brother on ESPN in my school's cafeteria?'"

Levis is projected in some mock drafts to be one of up to four quarterbacks taken in the first 10 picks on April 27. Ohio State's C.J. Stroud or Alabama's Bryce Young are the most likely to go No. 1 overall to Carolina. And teams like Houston (No. 2), Indianapolis (No. 4) and Las Vegas (No. 7) are also in need of a starting QB.

While draft analysts have said many positive things about Levis, who spent two years at Penn State before transferring to UK, he said the questions he's heard about his accuracy bother him.

During his two seasons as the Wildcats' signal-caller, Levis completed 65.7% (418 for 636) of his attempts. His completion percentage in 2022 (65.4) ranked 26th nationally — below Stroud (No. 20, 66.3), but above Young (No. 37, 64.5).

"I think I'm as accurate as anybody else," Levis said. "Maybe I need to do more to show that, but I'm confident in my accuracy. I think that's a strength of mine."

Levis hoped to show that Friday, when he took the field at UK's pro day. He threw to current Wildcat receivers, and former teammates, Barion Brown, Dane Key and Tayvion Robinson, and his bomb to Brown went viral on Twitter. He did not participate in any other drills.

Levis has met in person with the Houston Texans (No. 2 overall pick) and has meetings scheduled with six more organizations.

He said he hasn't received an invite to the draft, which will be held in Kansas City, Missouri. Levis said if he's assured he'll be one of the first players off the board, he'll attend.

"But I don't want to go if I could be a second-round pick. Don't want the cameras on you all (night)," he said with a laugh.
