The Ohio State Fair may not be taking place this summer, but one of the event's most legen-dairy traditions is still carrying on—with a new twist (or, more accurately, a churn). Every year since 1903, a life-sized butter cow has been created for the fair's Dairy Products Building. The cow is the star of the larger butter sculpture display with works of art molded from more than a ton of butter. This year though, at-home artists have the chance to make their own mini, buttery bovines and enter them in the American Dairy Association Mideast's first-ever DIY Butter Cow Sculpting Contest.

Think you might be the da Vinci of dairy? Watch the video below starring master sculptor Paul Brooke for tips on molding a butter cow that's udderly fantastic, then post a photo of your creation to social media with #BuildYourButterCow by August 9. The winner will be announced on August 10 and will receive a YETI cooler. Visit the ADA's website for a complete list of contest rules.
