Look and Learn: The Ideal Conditions for a Snowboard Photographer

Have you ever wondered what the ideal conditions to shoot a great snowboard photo may be? Well, we have got some insight from pro snowboard photographer Mike Dawsy. It is an interesting thing to nail down. There are so many factors of variability in a snowboarding landscape. You have got the snow for one - and it can be slushy, powder, light powder, heavy powder, watery, barely any snow, I mean, the options are limit less! And then you also have a ton of variables in terms of lighting. Sunshine, clouds, snow, rain, general precipitation. And you have got trees, rocks, other people on the mountain. Then you also have to factor in which type of boarder you are planning to be shooting with.

So Mike Dawsy, please do give us some insight! We would love to see what we have to learn from you!
