Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are probably one of the most popular celebrity couples out there.
Besides literally being Hollywood golden children, the two of them have a super-sweet, dorky dynamic that makes them more relatable than most celebrities.
In 2022, they'll celebrate 11 years together and 10 years of marriage.
Here's how these two funny, gorgeous people came together.
July 2010: Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are both cast as leads in Green Lantern.
That summer marked their first public appearance together at San Diego Comic Con, though they were nowhere near a couple. Blake was still dating Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley while Ryan was married to Scarlett Johansson.
October 2010: Blake is single after a breakup with Badgley.
Though the news went public at that time, sources told Us Weekly that the two came to the decision in mid-September, but kept it quiet. The breakup was relatively amicable, and the two continued to work together.
December 2010: Ryan and Scarlett announce their split.
TMZ broke the news that the couple was ending their marriage after two years. The reason why was unclear, though many noted they were rarely seen together. Their split was also reportedly amicable.
October 2011: Blake is spotted leaving Ryan's apartment early in the morning.
Blake was photographed leaving the Boston apartment during Ryan's 35th birthday weekend. Not only did it put them on couple watch, but it confirmed the previous speculation that Blake and Leonardo DiCaprio had split after a brief fling.

Blake and Ryan were married at the Boone Hall Plantation in South Carolina (where The Notebook was filmed). She wore Marchesa and he wore Burberry. Florence Welch performed at their reception.

In a Lucky Magazine interview, Blake talked about splitting home decorating with Ryan. "I'm very lucky to be with someone who has better taste than me," she joked.
"We influence each other in different ways. With film and TV, you don't see the results for months. Building a home, you get immediate gratification."
May 2014: Blake and Ryan step out as a couple for the first time publicly.
All eyes were on Blake and Ryan when they arrived at the 2014 Met Gala, marking their first public appearance as a couple.
September 2014: Blake teases the idea of having kids with Ryan.
"We've never gone a week without seeing each other. There's no major decision that I make without him," she gushed about her husband to Marie Claire.
"The best part is when we turn off our phones and just talk and hang out. He's my best, best friend. What do you do with your best friend? You do nothing ... I gotta get started. If I could spit out a litter of kids, I would."
October 2014: Blake announces she's pregnant.
Blake used her now-defunct website Preserve to share with fans that she and Ryan were expecting their first child. She debuted her bump the same month at the Angel Ball in New York City.

March 2015: Ryan reveals their baby girl's name.
The couple didn't immediately release details about their daughter but during an appearance on The Today Show, he finally shared her name.
"It's James. Everybody knows," he laughed. "I didn't want to be the first guy screaming it out to the media, because as we know, little girls turn into teenage girls and little teenage girls sometimes scan through the archives and go, 'Why did you do that?'"
February 2016: Ryan admits he fell for Blake on a double date.
Blake wasn't the one he was there with, though. "We were buddies then,” he recalled.
"About a year after Green Lantern had come and gone and we were both single we went on a double date – she was on a date with another guy and I was on a date with another girl – and it was like the most awkward date for the respective parties because we were just like fireworks coming across the table."

Folklore dropped in July 2020. In the song "Betty," characters named James and Ines also come up, referring to the other two Reynolds girls. The couple never confirmed the fact, but they never denied it either.
August 2020: Ryan expresses regret for their plantation wedding.
Blake and Ryan were married at a plantation, which was on trend for the time but was ultimately a decision that aged badly. Though it had been pointed out as a bad look as early as 2018, this was the first time Ryan addressed the issue in its entirety.
"It’s something we’ll always be deeply and unreservedly sorry for. It’s impossible to reconcile," he told Fast Company. "What we saw at the time was a wedding venue on Pinterest. What we saw after was a place built upon devastating tragedy."
"Years ago we got married again at home — but shame works in weird ways. A giant fucking mistake like that can either cause you to shut down or it can reframe things and move you into action. It doesn’t mean you won’t fuck up again. But repatterning and challenging lifelong social conditioning is a job that doesn’t end."
November 2020: Ryan talks about being a girl dad.
"I come from all boys. I have three older brothers. I’m the youngest of four boys, so for me to have three daughters has been such a ride,” he told Access Hollywood. “I love every second of it."
In the same interview, Ryan talks about him and Blake balancing their careers and family life. "We don't split up. I shoot movies and my wife shoots movies and we go travel all over the place and we just all go together," he said. "I think that’s been the best part of it is that we really don’t spend a lot of time apart. I get to spend a lot of time with my girls."
November 2021: Ryan opens up about what makes his relationship with Blake so great.
Ryan says he and Blake work so well because they keep the love and the friendship going.
"We don’t take each other too seriously, but we're also friends," he told Entertainment Tonight.
"Falling in love is great, but do you like each other? That's kinda the question you gotta ask yourself, you know, going into it. We've always liked each other. We grow together. We learn from each other. So yeah, I'm lucky to have a buddy in that."
December 2021: Ryan announces he's taking a break from acting.
Ryan decided to focus on some of his other business ventures and put acting on the backburner. Part of the decision, he revealed, was to give his kids some more stability and all of them more time together.
"Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie-making," he announced after wrapping on holiday film Spirited with Will Ferrell.
"I'm gonna miss every second of working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists. These days, kindness matters as much as talent. I've been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both."
