The 'Alias' star fell hard for a few of her leading men, but these days she keeps a low-key love life.

Jennifer Garner’s relationship history is filled with handsome actors, many of whom were her leading men! After her high-profile divorce from Ben Affleck, however, the Alias actress seems to be carrying on a much quieter love life. With her big return to TV with Apple TV+’s The Last Thing He Told Me, here is a refresher on who has won Garner's heart over the years.

Who is Jennifer Garner's husband now?

Jennifer Garner does not currently have a husband. Her last husband was actor/writer/director triple threat Ben Affleck, whom she met on the set of Dare Devil, but the two divorced in 2018. Garner is currently linked to her boyfriend John Miller, with whom she’s had a bit of an on-again-off-again relationship following her divorce.

Miller is around 45 and is a self-described inventor and entrepreneur. He is a founder of Cali Group, which includes the global restaurant chain CaliBurger. Previously, in 2004, he was the second employee at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, a company that develops medicines to treat genetic-based diseases. He co-authored The Handbook of Nanotechnology: Business, Policy, and Intellectual Property Law in 2008. He was also the managing editor of Nanotechnology Law & Business.

Like Garner, Miller has been previously married as well. He walked down the aisle with violinist Caroline Campbell in 2005 before filing for divorce in 2011, reconciling in 2012 and then filing again in 2014. Their divorce was finalized in 2018—the same year as Garner and Affleck’s divorce.

Miller has two children to Garner’s three with Affleck. In another coincidence, both have daughters named Violet. No wonder the couple can’t seem to stay away from each other!

Are Jennifer Garner and John Miller still together?

Jennifer Garner and John Miller are still together as of this writing. They first began their relationship in late October of 2018. They couple took a nine-month break starting in the summer of 2020 and ending around May 2021. It appears the pair has been together ever since their reconciliation.

During their time apart, a source reported, “He was ready for marriage and she just couldn’t commit. They parted on very amicable terms.”

In an interesting twist, the separation news came out after Garner was seen spending a day at the beach with her former Alias co-star Bradley Cooper.

However, nothing romantic came of that, at least that we know of. Garner and Miller were photographed for the first time together since rekindling their spark in August 2021 in New York City.

Are Jennifer Garner and John Miller getting married?

As of this writing, there are no reports that Jennifer Garner and John Miller are planning to get married. But that doesn't mean marriage isn't in their future. A source told Us Weekly, “Jennifer adores John and still sees a long-term future with him. There’s no desire on her part to slow things down, spend less time together or anything like that. She’s just decided after a lot of thought that she’s just not in a hurry to rush down the aisle just yet and that she feels perfectly happy cherishing and enjoying what they have—for now—without a formal label.”

Jennifer Garner has been married twice. Her first marriage was to her Felicity co-star Scott Foley and lasted from 2000 until 2004. Her second marriage was to her Pearl Harbor and Daredevil co-star Ben Affleck and lasted from 2005 until 2018, though the two separated in 2015.

Garner shares three children with ex Affleck: Violet Anne Affleck (born in 2005), Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck (born in 2009) and Samuel Garner Affleck (born in 2012).

Who was Scott Foley's first wife?

Scott Foley’s first wife was actress Jennifer Garner. The pair met on the set of the WB series Felicity, on which Foley starred and Garner appeared as a guest star. The two tied the knot in 2000 but divorced in 2004. Foley married his current wife, Marika Domińczyk in 2007. They have three children.

When did Jennifer Garner date Scott Foley?

Jennifer Garner and Scott Foley were married for a brief time in the early 2000s. Foley recently opened up about the relationship in a 2021 appearance on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live.

The Scandal actor revealed, “She played my girlfriend on Felicity. Yeah, we met on the show, and we hit it off instantly and were soon dating."

The pair initially met in 1998, tied the knot in 2000, and separated in 2003. Their divorce was finalized in 2004.

Foley confirmed, “We were together for a total of about five years… I think we were married for three.”

Why did Jennifer Garner leave Scott Foley?

When Jennifer Garner filed for divorce from her first husband Scott Foley in 2003, she cited irreconcilable differences in the divorce papers.

Garner revealed to InStyle during that period that she felt the couple had become “victims of Hollywood” and referred to the split as “amicable.”

“Everything is speeded up here—it is a fast-lane life, and if something is not working, it is considered best to end it without much thought. If we lived where I was brought up [West Virginia], we would probably still be together.”

She also told Allure in 2013, “We were full-on grown-ups, but looking back I'm aware we did not know what hit us. We didn't have a shot. He's a really good guy, and we just imploded."

Shortly after the split, Garner began a relationship with Alias co-star Michael Vartan, leading to rumors the relationship had ended her marriage.

Foley has denied this version of events, telling TV Guide, “Nobody else was involved. Jennifer became a huge celebrity. She became a huge star, and she deserved everything she got. There was no other relationship, there was no infidelity, nothing. People get divorced, you know? Through no one’s fault and everyone’s fault.”

While the former couple does not keep in touch, it does appear they remain cordial. Foley revealed in 2021 that they run into each other every so often. “You have to say hello. You’re very civil. I mean, we do not keep in contact because she has her own family. I have mine. … But I’ve seen her a few times—especially when we were living in L.A.—and [my wife] Marika has been with me. You know, everybody says hi and you’re cordial and you move on. That’s life, right?”

Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan starred in the hit ABC series Alias together from 2001 until 2006. As their characters entered into a will-they-won’t-they relationship onscreen, their chemistry was building behind the scenes as well. The two began dating in 2003, following Garner’s separation from her first husband, Scott Foley. Unfortunately, the relationship was short-lived and the pair split in 2004. Garner married her second husband, Ben Affleck, the next year.

Garner and Affleck separated in 2015, with their divorce being finalized in 2018. Vartan had tied the knot himself with Lauren Skaar in 2011 but his wife filed for divorce just three years later in 2014.

Following both of their respective divorces, Vartan was asked if he would ever consider rekindling things with his former flame in 2018.

“Oh my God,” he responded. "I don't think so. If it didn't work once, there's a reason it didn't work."

So, there you have it! Garner and Vartan are most certainly not a couple, with Garner currently linked to her boyfriend John Miller.

It would appear that exes and former co-stars Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan still remain on friendly terms.

In 2005, following the end of their year-long romance, Vartan described the breakup as “benign” and mentioned it ended without drama, noting, “We’re much better off as friends.”

He went into more detail, “On the surface, it could have been a recipe for disaster. But Jennifer and I were best friends first, during [the romance] and after."

The good vibes appear to have continued all these years later, with Vartan even reaching out to Garner following her separation from second husband Ben Affleck in 2015.

A source told OK!, “Since finding out that she and Ben are on the rocks, Michel’s been reaching out for her, and she’s been really enjoying memory lane.”

In 2018, Garner sparked interest in the former couple once again when she posted a picture of the two of them together from the set of Alias as a tribute to Vartan. "Can you believe this baby face is 50?! Happy birthday, #MichaelVartan. #alwaysanALIASgirl #sydneyandvaughnforever,” the caption read.

Was Jennifer pregnant during Alias?

Jennifer Garner was in fact pregnant during the time she was on Alias, with her daughter Violet who she shares with former husband Ben Affleck. Garner’s real-life first pregnancy was written into the show’s fifth season storyline, with her character becoming pregnant onscreen as well. The series then went on hiatus between December 2005 and April 2006 to accommodate their leading lady, especially given the physical demands of her role in the spy series.

Is Jennifer Garner the love of Ben Affleck's life?

In February of 2016, following their 2015 split, Jennifer Garner referred to her estranged husband Ben Affleck as “the love of my life.”

However, it appears that Affleck may feel differently. Before marrying Garner in 2005, the actor was in a very public relationship with another Jennifer, Jennifer Lopez. Lopez and Affleck met in 2001 then began dating and even got engaged in 2002. Unfortunately, by 2004, the pair had called things off.

In a twist right out of a movie, following the end of both of their respective long-term relationships, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance in early 2021, around 20 years after first meeting. The pair married the following year, in 2022.

A source has claimed Lopez and Affleck are the “loves of each others’ lives.”

Eep, sorry Jennifer Garner!

Why did Ben Affleck fall out of love with Jennifer Garner?

Lots of rumors have swirled around Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s breakup. At the time of the separation, it was rumored to be due to Affleck stepping out on his wife with the couple’s nanny, Christine Ouzounian. However, both Garner and Affleck have denied there was any overlap with the two relationships.

Garner told Vanity Fair in 2016, “We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes.”

In 2021, Affleck opened up about the breakup on The Howard Stern Show, “The truth was, we took our time, we made a decision, we grew apart. We had a marriage that did not work. This happens. It is somebody I love and respect, but to whom I should not be married any longer. And then we said, ‘You know what? We tried. We tried, because we had kids.’ And then both of us felt like, ‘We don’t want this to be the model that our kids see of marriage.'”

It appears the two maintain a respectful relationship with each other, especially when it comes to co-parenting their three children. Good for them!
