Long Center postpones performance due to weather

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Long Center's performance of "My Name is NOT Mom" has been postponed to 7 p.m., Sunday, April 3.

Due to severe weather, according to the production's website, this performance has been postponed to spring.

"'My Name is NOT Mom' is a hilarious journey through motherhood with internet sensations Tiffany Jenkins, Meredith Masony and Dena Blizzard," the performance's description says. "After helping millions of fans get through the pandemic, this comic trio shares their take on mothering through the sleepless nights of the toddler years, middle school craziness and trying not to physically attack a high schooler.

"This special live event features stand-up, stories and videos from their online community and audience interaction to create an up close and personal experience that’s funnier than a pap smear."

Tickets to the show are available at https://mynameisnotmom.com.

Additional shows coming to the Long Center for Performing Arts includes comedian Theo Von, vocalist Zach Williams and the 20th Anniversary Tour of "Church Basement Ladies."

Tickets are now on sale for Theo Von live at the F.M. Kirby Center.

"'Church Basement Ladies,' a celebration of the church basement kitchen and the women who work there, features four distinct characters and their relationships as they organize the food and the problems of a rural Minnesota church," the play's description says. "From the elderly matriarch of the kitchen to the young bride-to-be learning the proper order of things, the book and music give us a touching, funny look at their lives as we see them handle a record breaking Christmas dinner, the funeral of a dear friend, a Hawaiian Easter Fundraiser, and a steaming hot July wedding.

"They stave off potential disasters, share and debate recipes, instruct the young, and keep the Pastor on due course while thoroughly enjoying, (and tolerating) each other. Funny and down to earth, audiences will recognize these ladies as they begin to see the Church year unfold from below the House of God."

Tickets for each of these shows are available at https://longpac.org.
