Pop singing sensation, Lizzo, has responded to the onslaught of anti-fat comments she receives on a daily basis.

In a series of now-private tweets, Lizzo replied, yet again, to the discourse surrounding her body. Particularly, she addressed this tweet:

The tweet reads "How is Lizzo still THIS fat when she's constantly moving this much onstage? I wonder what she must be eating? [laughing emoji]

"I JUST logged onto this app and this is the type of shit I see about me on a daily basis," she started. "It's really starting to make me hate the world."

"Then someone in the comments said I eat 'lots of fast food,'" she continued, "I LITERALLY STOPPED EATING FAST FOOD YEARS AGO."

Lizzo, who unfortunately is no stranger to having to defend herself and her body, then said, "I'm tired of explaining myself all the time, and I just wanna get on this app without seeing my name in some bullshit."

Lizzo then responded to another tweet claiming that the size of her body is "her brand." Lizzo said, "I'm not trying to BE fat. I'm not trying to BE smaller. I'm literally just trying to live and be healthy."

"This is what my body looks like even when I'm eating super clean and working out!" Lizzo said. "Y'all speak on shit y'all know NOTHING ABOUT, and I'm starting to get heated."

"My 'brand' is FEEL GOOD MUSIC. My 'brand' is CHAMPIONING ALL PEOPLE. My 'brand' is BLACK GIRL LIBERATION," she emphasized.

Lizzo then noted how consistently she has been criticized, no matter what she does: "I've always led [with] my TALENT...But when I dropped 'Good As Hell,' feel-good music was 'corny.'"

"When I dropped 'Juice,' disco-pop wasn't 'for them.' When I was body-positive in 2016, being body-positive was 'pandering.' Now everybody on that wave and I'm still shit on?! Man, fuck y'all," Lizzo wrote.

"The Love definitely do not outweigh the Hate on social media...all because I'm fat???? This is CRAZY," she tweeted.

Lizzo ended with, "Y'all don't know how close I be to giving up on everyone and quitting and enjoying my money and my man on a FUCKING FARM..."

The discourse surrounding Lizzo's body seems to never come to a halt, as these tweets came even after Lizzo spoke out about anti-fat comments during her acceptance speech at the 2022 MTV VMAs. "'Lizzo, why don't you clap back?'" she asked rhetorically. "'Cuz, bitch, I'm winning, hoe!"

And, BTW, being fat certainly doesn't equate to being unhealthy. It's clear that people should learn to be kind and not make unsolicited comments on anyone's bodies, no matter what shape and size.
