Lizzo Pulls Off the Ultimate Campy Fashion Moment at the VMAs

Are we at the MTV VMAs or this year’s Met Gala? Lizzo’s red carpet look makes it hard to tell—the singer brought her campy fashion A-game in full force. The “Juice” singer, who is nominated for Best New Artist, channelled the fabulously over-the-top aesthetic of this year’s Met theme in a custom creation by Moschino’s Jeremy Scott. And the ensemble brought cheeky style to an entire new level.
The word “siren” was printed all over Lizzo’s strapless, floor-length, red-sequined dress, as if to announce, “Sound the alarm, I’ve arrived!” She topped off the look with a red and silver leather boa—because, of course, more is always more. Meanwhile, a single teardrop necklace added the right amount of bling, and her sky-high bouffant played up the Old Hollywood feel of the statement gown. Call it the fashion moment the VMAs didn’t know it needed, but sure as hell wanted.

Fantasy baseball analyst Andy Behrens knows what it's like to leave a draft with some regret, so he offers up some early waiver wire pickups before Opening Day.
