Get ready to welcome a new member to the Urban Decay Naked family: Naked Honey! The brand officially announced the new palette's debut via their Instagram channel with a cute, cheeky honey-centric video featuring brand ambassadors Lizzo and Joey King.
The new palette is all about gold and honey shades, and the video makes that clear; both Lizzo and Joey are seen in full-on gold outfits, down to their manicures, and Joey's even swimming in a pool of what looks like honey but probably isn't because, well, stickiness. According to the brand, Naked Honey features 12 shades, six mattes and six metallic/shimmers, all in a warm, gilded color story; Lizzo wears a gold metallic shadow that looks to be either "Honey" or "Golden," while Joey's shadow appears to be the bronzy "Amber" shade. Naked Honey joins the rapidly-expanding family of iconic Naked palettes, including Naked Heat, Naked Cherry, and Naked 2 and 3 and is meant to create everything from a "bright and sunny" look to a "dangerously seductive" nighttime vibe.
Lizzo and Joey were brought on board at Urban Decay in June as part of their "Pretty Different" campaign alongside Ezra Miller, musician Karol G, and South Korean rapper CL. "They are unique, they are powerful, they are inspiring, they push boundaries," Urban Decay said of its stars. Lizzo celebrated the news at the time by writing, "I LOVE MY WIDE FACE, HIGH CHEEKBONES AND DOUBLE CHIN! IM A BAD BITCH IN MY @URBANDECAYCOSMETICS!!!" on Instagram.
The palette officially launches in the United States at Sephora and on Urban Decay's official site on September 13 and retails for $49. You can get it at Ulta, Nordstrom, and Macy's on September 26, and if you're outside of the U.S., you can find your launch date on the Instagram post. We've got a feeling this is going to be a pretty sweet new palette to have in our rotation and that Urban Decay fans will be ... buzzing ... with anticipation.
