UPDATE—Tuesday, April 27, 11 a.m. ET: Yes, Lizzo and Chris Evans have still been DM’ing. The “Truth Hurts” rapper gave a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it update on TikTok in late April:

Don’t worry, we have a screenshot. Lizzo and Evans’s entire conversation isn’t clear, but we do see that she wrote, “Well.. they say u miss 100% of the shots you never take 😏 (and even tho I unsent it like a dork 🤦🏾‍♀️ ) I’m glad u know I exist now 🥰🥰🥰.” And Evans replied, “Of course I do! I’m a fan! Keep up the great work!! xxx.”

ORIGINAL STORY: On April 19, Lizzo revealed on TikTok that she got tipsy and slid into the Instagram DMs of none other than Captain America himself, Chris Evans.

Even though the two stars didn’t follow each other on the app, she decided to “shoot her shot” and sent him three emojis: a puff of air, a girl, and a basketball. A visual depiction of the shot getting shot. She then exposed herself on TikTok, writing, “Don’t drink and DM, kids.”

But then, 11 or so hours after the message, the “Good As Hell” singer duet-ed her original video to reveal that not only had Evans followed her on Instagram, he’d responded. She screamed as she showed his message: “No shame in a drunk DM [kiss face] god knows I’ve done worse on this app [ashamed face].”

First of all, the kiss emoji. Holy guacamole. Just…if Chris Evans sends you that…how do you even go on with your life? How do you not turn into actual mush? (If you’re wondering what Evans did on Instagram that was so bad, back in September he accidentally leaked his own dick pic.)

According to BuzzFeed, Lizzo followed the First Avenger back. Let’s see what happens from here, shall we? This whole interaction is just everything. It’s also a master class in how to respond to flirty DMs. Chris Evans: gentleman and scholar. Lizzo: inspiration on every level.

Before this moment on social media, Lizzo took to Instagram to inform her followers that doing one act of anti-racism daily is the new bare minimum. “You have to do an intentional act of anti-racism every single day,” she said. “What’s an intentional act of anti-racism? Well, have you donated to bail out a protestor? Have you bought from a Black business? An Asian business? Have you bought from any person of color today? Have you seen someone getting harassed for the color of their skin and intentionally went over there and stopped it? Have you educated yourself?”
