Today in royal news that is totally a coincidence so don’t even worry about it, the Queen is scheduled to give a televised speech on the same day as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s tell-all Oprah interview. Huh!

According to Us Weekly, Her Majesty will address the United Kingdom on March 7 as part of a BBC One program that’s replacing the Commonwealth Day service (which was canceled amid the ongoing pandemic). The Queen’s musings will inevitably air ahead of Meghan and Harry’s interview, which is scheduled for 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. ET on Sunday evening on CBS.

And speaking of the Sussexes’ sit-down, here’s what you can expect:

  1. The interview will start off with just Meghan, who will speak about “everything from stepping into life as a royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure.”

  2. Prince Harry will then join in and speak with Oprah and Meghan about “their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.”

  3. That’s it!

Apparently, the royal family is experiencing “a great deal of nervousness” about the interview, and “everyone will be watching with intense interest,” but Meghan and Harry have always been respectful of the Queen so don’t expect anything too dramatic!
