Here’s a List of the Most-Searched Sneaker Brands By State — The Picks May Surprise You

Battleground states have lots more meaning these days than which presidential candidate is likely to take them. Each, according to research from Onlinegambling.ca, also has a favorite when it comes to their kicks.

According to research conducted by Onlinegambling.ca, which rates online sports, casino and poker betting, Vans was the favorite sneaker brand for the entire United States, as people in 23 states were searching for it the most.

According to the company, which looked at the most searched sneaker brands online in the U.S. over the past 12 months, Converse was the No. 2 favorite, landing as the most searched sneaker label in nine states. In third place was Nike, which pulled the top spot in five states.

When it comes to individual states and their top picks, New Yorkers showed the widest range of favorites with Nike, Adidas, Converse, Reebok, Fila, Puma, Yeezy, Ellesse and Air Jordan as well as designer labels Balenciaga and Gucci all tying for the top searched. Vans and New Balance followed taking the second and third spots.

Moving up to Massachusetts, Asics took the lead, with Vans and New Balance following, while Pennsylvania ranked Ellesse, Champion and Skechers, as top picks.

Heading South, Alabama ranked Vans, Converse and Fila as its top customer picks. In Arkansas, Vans was the most searched brand online, with Converse and Adidas taking the next spots. Those in Georgia showed interest in Air Jordan, Vans and Gucci, while their neighbors in Alabama were online searching for Vans, Converse and Fila.

In the Midwest, Missourians were looking for Vans, Converse and Adidas, with those in Kansas favoring Vans, with Converse and Adidas tying for second place, followed by Nike ranking third.

Moving West, Utahans were searching for Vans, Converse and Adidas, with their counterparts in Arizona favoring Vans, Converse, followed by a combined Fila and Gucci. Colorado preferred Vans, Converse and Fila.

California came in with Vans, Gucci and Converse as its top searched, while Oregonians favored Vans, Converse and Adidas.

The survey was conducted in conjunction with data from Google Trends.
